My reply was in jest, too. :poke:

Seriously, marriages DO seem to do better if some of the courting rituals are still present.

I agree. It's always the little things; the extra bit of attention, the spontaneous hug or kiss, the gently take her by the hand, twinkle in the eye, leading her upstairs.... that are appreciated the most.

    Hi Scryler
Being a Midwesterner, I've never been there, but I've read in some of the birding mags that Central Park is one of the best places to go birdwatching along the Atlantic coast. Seeing as you folks have been talking about birds on and off, I had a Carolina Wren checking out my garage as a possible nesting site yesterday. Southern Michigan is about as far north as you can find them. Come on Spring !!

Every year I have at least 1 set (last year 3) of doves raised in a nest on a former flower pot holder on the back side of my house.

I hope you had a good day and the night is going well.

A new regime for me. Early mornings. That's going to be fun.

I will be grouchy for awhile. Not that I haven't been.

To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep deep
    for morning
    comes early.

    May the Lady smile

I hope you had a good day and the night goes well.

Not a new job, the getting up early part...exercising.

I walked around the neighborhood twice this morning.
Haven't done that since last Spring. Getting up was
not as hard as I thought, and the walk took away the
    sluggishness.

The young red red Cardinal was at the feeder, along
with other birds, but my eyes were focused on him,
so I didn't notice what they were. Had to refill the
feeder...everyone, from the looks of it, has been
eating away...no seeds even on the ground.

My house, while it needs the bushes trimmed, is by no
means the worst kept in the neighborhood.

To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep hard,
    wake up fast,
    get moving.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me too.

    G'Night.

I hope you had a good day and night.

Up again at 6, before the sun came up.

The birds were singing and calling to one
another, but not out of the trees yet. By
the time I walked around the neighborhood
twice, they were busy at the feeder and
    flying around.

    Birdseed is dropping fast.

I have never seen a bird as deep a red
as the young Cardinal. As of yet, he
has not found a mate, but it certainly
    isn't for lack of color.

It is officially Spring in Florida. Those
who know such things have said so,
publicly. It must be Spring in California,
too...California artichokes are in the stores
here. Local strawberries have been for
    some time.

Some of the trees are leafing out, but
not the Dogwood in my front yard yet.

The buzzards were not in sight at all
    this morning.

This afternoon, one of the meeting I
now attend was held in the person's
home. An apartment in an area that
has a bad reputation. Even the pizza
drivers will not deliver there. So it
was quite an adventure. The woman
was looking for me and met me not
far from where I left the car in her
building's parking lot. I am glad
    she did.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Right before falling into sleep,
    let your thoughts linger on
the things that bring joy and
    beauty into your life.

    Wake up in the light.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me too.

    G'Night.

I hope you had a good day and the night goes well.

I obviously have not had a good day.

Nor did the night before go as I might have wished.

My head feels like a bass drum. Hollow. Like the rest of me.

I think I am going to bed early tonight. Like now.

To all who will sleep tonight, on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Dive into deep sleep
    down to the bottom
    don't come up until
    you have forgotten.

    And in the morning,
    perhaps you'll find
    it was just a
    delusion of the mind.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me too.

    G'Night.
