I think you should ask for clarity AND trust. Not total clarity, or there would be nothing to wonder at. Not blind trust, but a trust that will be justified more times than not, in spite of what you see.
I hope you had a good day and night. I saw a small flock of Sparrows today. Maybe Sparrows don't migrate, but it's the first time I have seen them for a long time, ever since the Mockingbirds chased them off last Spring. Or early, very early, Summer. I've gone to 2 of the meetings that the new part of my job entails and they were very interesting. And very different, too. They used different processes for each, and one of them was definitely more user friendly, more supportive. I'm tired and getting up early tomorrow. It is supposed to be much warmer this weekend than it has been, so I think I will watch the birds, if any are around. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: A measure of acceptance, along with trust, leads to clarity. So try filling your mind with some acceptance and trust (don't forget those sweet dreams, though) while you are falling into sleep and perhaps you will wake up in the morning with a little more clarity. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
Most of the time, things seem to work well the way they are. And you can do a little something about when they don't.
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. The Sparrows have found the bird feeder. And as before, chewed me out for sitting near it. I haven't seen the Cardinal(s) yet, but I wasn't out there long, still too cold to be comfortable that early in the morning. No mosquitoes though. A small blessing. A fairly nice day, no rain, no wind, sunny. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Clutter out, sweet dreams in. Wake up happy. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
I hope you had a good day and the night went well. Well it's only been a couple of days, but acceptance seems to be working. Thus far. The Sparrows had a great time pecking and eating the birdseed, as well as kicking large amounts out, soon to be fast growing weeds (yet another eyesore for the neighbors across the street). But I haven't seen the Cardinal. A friend of mine says I should feel blessed that I am plagued with buzzards. She has never seen them roosting and envies me. Life is very strange. Either that or I simply know a lot of strange people. Or people tend to be a little more open with me than they normally would, maybe. I've been told that. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Let acceptance sink into you as though you were a dry thirsty sponge as you, in turn, sink into sleep. Wake up hoping no one wrings you out. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. Drove to work this evening at the tail end of a storm front. Better than being at head of it. I went outside where I work tonight, and all you could hear were the drops of rain water occasionally falling from the huge oak. I looked up, and through the canopy, the clouds had parted around the half moon, misty everywhere else. It was right over head, straight up and quite beautiful with the stark black canopy webbing around the moon, the clouds misty and white in between the branches, except for the yellow and blue ring around the moon. I didn't have a camera. No traffic at all on the drive home...and law enforcement behind me all the way. Had fun, he did. I know it was he, because he pulled out behind me at the convenience store where I gassed up. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Dump the junk, hold the gold, sleep deep, wake from the night into the light. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
I'be followed this thread for a while now and I'm really impressed by how you find inspiration in the beauty of nature. Sadly most people overlook such things.
She an outstanding writer! I swear she writes professionally. I've been to New York many times to patrol with the Guardian Angels. They never patrol the nice areas. Even so, you can find peace and quiet moments there, especially in the mornings. But, you might have to put up with the chirping of birds.
Thank you...both for following the thread and for the compliment. I appreciate it a lot. You are such an 'old-timer' on here, that it really means something, imo.
Thank you too, GA82. One of my longest tried and true fanboys Birds? In New York? Thought they only had pigeons and falcons there. The Guardian Angels never patrol the parks?
We are not allowed to by the Park Police. There is a sister group called Angel Watch that is allowed to patrol, but only to report problems, not to intervene. They wear red baseball hats instead of berets. I've patrolled with them, but they aren't popular with the 'real' Guardian Angels. We feel it's wrong to watch while someone is getting hurt and just call it in instead of helping. We do patrol the little neighborhood parks. But they are not greeen and it's not very peaceful there. Years ago, my favorite spot to relax in the morning in New York was to crawl out the back window of the second story HQ of the NYGA on to an adjacent roof top. It was shaded by a tree down on the side street and was pretty quiet in the mornings. Most patrols end around 2 or 3 am, and angels would sleep in till late. Later, there would be many angels eating or smoking out there, and that was good too, though not peaceful.
Touching back on an older post here... I finally heard Cardinals again. A truly wondrous and welcome sound. Could it be Spring is finally coming here? And to the fair Lady Scryler, how remiss I've been at being a decent fanboy. I always hate to clutter up your thread with my own posts, but I always read them! (Gods that sounded a lot like sucking up. But definitely meant with utmost sincerity.) Now for a little insight into tonite... N's with me and J for this entire week while N's Mom is in on vacation. Dinner's been finished and everythings cleaned and put away. N's done his reading homework and a little more work on his Pluto (the planet, not the dog) paper. I'm here and N and J are watching the Olympics. From the sounds and conversations in the other room, it appears that N just "gassed" the daylights out of J. Lots of N laughing and J gagging/complaining. Who says I don't live an interesting life?
