I hope you had a good day and night.

I didn't need the heater on all day. Yay.

And I don't need to turn it on tonight either. Good.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

The gods work in strange ways
and often bring their miracles in
through the back door. So when
you are standing at the front door
with it open, don't forget to check
    the back door, too.

Gather your energy from the sweet
dreams that come your way in sleep,
you may need it when you wake up
    the next day.

    G'Night!

Sorry for such a late reply.

Yes it gets that cold here at times. Not often. We have a hard freeze here occasionally, once or twice a year, normally, that drops the temp below freezing for several hours. And the houses are not normally well insulated on the outer walls, so yes, pipes can freeze.

I lived in an area with 3+ feet of snow on the ground all winter, so freezing pipes were a big concern there. Blow dryers (for hair) are great when the pipe isn't too frozen (and indoors), but after having to blow dry one of the bathroom sink water lines, I became a fanatic about making sure the pipes didn't freeze. Hard to drop that kind of outlook.

This area used to have large orange groves, I was told, but no more. The weather changed and it gets too cold now for oranges...or at least is problematic enough to where the major orange growers stopped planting here and moved further south.

I hope you had a good day and night.

It is warmer still tonight. When I came home, the little tree frogs were out looking for bugs to eat. I didn't see any bugs, so I hope they found some.

    Halfway to the dark moon.

I did the tarot this evening and the results were very interesting.
Someone in my life who I love will add to my spiritual development,
in an unexpected and unforeseen way. So we shall see.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

Go down into the dreaming well
for the night, warm and safe
in the bed, opening up the
door in your head that allows
the gods to shed light when
    they will.

    Ah, yes. When they will.

    When you raise your eyelids
    in the morning, perhaps some
thing from their visit will stay
    with you.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me too.

    G'Night!

Late again. Every night lately, I have tried to get to this
    sooner...and don't. Sigh.

It was warmer yet today, rained some, the breeze blew
almost all day. Now, that was nice. I imagine it was just
from a stationary front, but it felt good to actually feel a
breeze blowing on my face, moving my hair around.

The buzzards are back, circling around again. Why now?

I think I might have said this before, but someone I know
tells me that buzzards signify change and growth and are
a very positive indicator. The Tarot says change, the
buzzards are circling, and there are other things going
on that also indicate change. So. We shall see.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

Indian flute music is great to play
in the background when you are
ready for sleep. It is calming and
    pleasantly relaxing, yet brings with
it an energizing feeling, not one of
depletion. So drift off with the
flute into sleep and see what
    dreams you have.

Wake up in the morning in the light.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me, too.

    G'Night!

It is cold. Haven't looked at the weather report yet to
see just how cold it will get, but I was glad I wore a
sweatshirt and had my quilted vest to pop on when I
took one of my frequent walks outside.

Very busy at work. I took my copy of Eclipse with me,
for a change, as things have been very slow, and we
can read when it is...but of course, it was busy. So
    I read exactly one page.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep warm. Sleep happy.
    Wake up in the light.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me too.

    G'Night.

I hope you had a good day and the night goes well.

Thank you, cloud cover! The temp is holding warm
enough not to freeze, even though my hands tell me
they are. I'm going to start wearing fingerless gloves.

Before central heat was common, people
used to put coals in a special pan and leave
it at the foot of the bed, under the covers.
Kept your feet nicely warm. A solid rock (so
it won't fly apart when heated) or brick, heated
in a fire or oven and wrapped in a towel works
the same. Another Girl Scout camping trick. I
    may try that tonight.

I don't know how the poor little frogs are dealing with
the weather. Starving to death, likely. I haven't seen
any bugs around in some time. I am glad of that, don't
get me wrong, I have no liking for Florida insects, which
tend to be huge, fast moving and icky. Yes, icky.

But I feel for the frogs. The lizards seem to be able to
remain asleep better than the frogs...either that or they
have all died. I haven't seen any of them, not even
    when the frogs were out.

    So much for the fauna.

To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The NIghtly Mission:

Warm hands, warm feet, warm heart.
A recipe for a good night's sleep. So
sleep warm tonight and wake up in
    the morning smiling.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me too.

    G'Night!

I wouldn't worry about the frogs. If I understand correctly, they have someting akin to antifreeze in their blood that allows them to hibernate (underground) quite comfortably. :)

Maybe that's why they feel so cold when you hold them...carefully, of course.

I hope you had a good day and that the night went well.

It must be warmer outside...I actually do not feel cold, and don't need my quilted vest on.

    Maybe I am just happy.

The dark moon is coming soon.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    Warm your heart up
    and the warmth will
    go all through you.

    Makes for good sleep.

    Wake up tomorrow
    with a smile.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me, too.

    Bless the Lady.

I hope you had a good day and that the night went well.

Closer and closer comes the dark moon. I can feel it.

And it is warm enough to turn on the a/c.

    Frog heaven.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Light hearted laughter is a
great way to end the day
    and chase out the heaviness
    that may have accumulated.

    Especially if you can laugh
    at yourself.

So go to sleep knowing you
    are a pretty comical character.
And the next day, face the
    world with that attitude.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me, too.

    Bless the Lady.

    G'Night!

I hope you had a good day and that the night was, too.

Still warm but not as much as it was.

The dark moon is upon us, by one of my calendars.
Not til tomorrow by the other. Not that it matters,
the effects are strong either way.

And I am being so saintly that even I don't believe it.

    But perhaps not for long...

Patience is a virtue, they say.
Too much might just be the mark
    of a fool.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the dark earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep warm and safe,
    with sweet dreams to
    soothe your soul.

    Wake up and find the
    path you will take for
    the day.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me, too.

    Bless the Lady.

    G'Night.

The dark of the moon probably occurs during daytime for us, and night on the other side of the world.

That means that the preceding weekend would have been spent in some cold, wet place in the middle of nowhere with no sleep for 3 or 4 days 34 years ago when I was in Rudder's Rangers.

That training definitely influenced how I patrol as an Angel AND how I operate in DDO as a Ranger or a Rogue.

    The dark is your friend...

I hope you had a good day and that the night went well.

    My day was messed up.

I hope I do not have another one like it.
And generally, I am good during the dark moon.
    Not this one.

There will be other dark moons.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the dark earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

Bury your head under the covers
and leave the day behind. Sleep
washes away a lot of things.

Wake up tomorrow and start over.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me, too.

    G'Night.

I hope you had a good day and that the night went well, too.

    A better day today.

Lots of Christmas food at work. Some good cooks work
there. I am not one of them. But I definitely appreciate
    those who are.

Someone made little tarts with homemade guava jelly.
And Mexican Flan in caramel sauce.
    Chocolate cake, of course.
    Dips and chips.

No fudge. Probably a good thing.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep and stay warm,
    with warm thoughts
    bringing you into sleep.

    Wake up tomorrow
    in the light.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me too.

    G'Night.

No. It's bad. Very bad. :(

Chocolate in any form is one of the many proofs that the Gods love us and want us to be happy.
