    No you didn't.

Obviously, neither of you have seen very many '60's or '70's B movies.

    Didn't what?

I saw 'Them.' The one about giant mutant ants? Don't know if it was a 60's or 70's movie, though. Saw it on tv.

Still would like to have someone explain the bears. Maybe they aren't considered predators.

I hope you had a good day and the night went well.

Nothing at all happened that I can write about.

No alligators, no tiny little frogs, no hawks sitting on a tree. No clunking and banging coming from the dumpster.

    No calls. Very quiet night.

The birds were twittering when I got home, though. I was too tired to sit outside and enjoy them.

I didn't work tonight, and slept off and on. Don't want to get in the habit of doing that.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep is good.
    Sweet dreams are good.
Something warm and cuddly is good.
All of them together are better.

    Wake up and get moving!

    May the Lady smile
    on me and you too.

    G'Night.

'Didn't' refers to Sirchet's post above yours. You 'ninjad' me.

I was thinking of Hitchcock's 'The Birds', specifically, but all the 'nature goes crazy' movies in general, like 'Food of the Gods'.

And it's a proven fact that radiation from atomic bomb testings produce huge monsters with destructive breath weapons.

I hope you had a good day and the night went well.

I don't know what is going on with me, but I am practically sleeping around the clock, with short 2 - 3 hour periods awake in between the sleeping.

Is my body trying to reset it's time clock? Am I depressed? Is this normal when someone starts working graveyard? I don't know. It's very strange for me, though.

Every so often, I'll sleep for an extended period, maybe to make up for getting 5 - 6 hours sleep for a couple of weeks. But I've been getting generally 7 or 8 hours sleep each 'night' when I work since I started graveyard.

In the short range, I don't mind. Long range would be a problem though, if this keeps up.

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep and sleep and sleep.

    Try to stay awake longer.

The wakeful periods between bouts of sleeping mean you are not sleeping as deeply.

I haven't been dreaming (or don't remember), so maybe you are right. But I haven't heard the phone ring either.

I hope you had a good day and the night went well.

Slept much much longer at one stretch, and have been awake longer as well. Yay! (I think.)

I tried some turkey bacon for the first time, on the recommendation of someone at work. I burned it, of course. Overcooked the fake eggs, too. I did not burn the toast, only because you can set the toaster. I am really a lousy cook, mainly because I don't really care. If it's burned, I'll eat it anyway. Food is fuel, most of the time.

Back to the fake bacon, I didn't particularly care one way or the other for it with eggs, but I think it will do fine in a BLT sandwich.

At work we have a saying, "Everything is better with bacon." One person even includes chocolate (my chocolate will not include bacon...ever). I'm imagining cute little chocolate bunnies studded with bacon bits...and quickly decide to start thinking of something else...just about anything else.

I hope you had a good day and the night went well.

I am reading some interesting material on sociopaths and psychopaths. Very interesting. I believe I have met a few of them.

One of the things I find the most interesting (as a method to recognize a psychopath) is not to rely on the content of the words that are said but to observe the behavior. In the long run, a psychopath's behavior will cut through what he or she may say. Words, to a psychopath, are meaningless to begin with, they are only a tool to get them what they want.

On the internet words are all you have, basically. It is hard to observe behavior, but it can be done. Even when the content is not reliable, there are patterns as to when and how communication is effected and those patterns are behavior. The tricky part is not allowing your feelings to respond to the word content.

I use the terms sociopaths and psychopaths interchangeably. They aren't the same, but close enough for me...more a matter of degree than anything.

The dark of the moon comes nigh tomorrow.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the soon dark earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep and let sleep
    do its healing.

    Wake up and be
    free of confusion.

How is it that you are dealing with psychopaths? Are they the partners of the women that you help in your job?

Isn't psychopathy more like lack of empathy and sociopathy more like failure to form a group identity?

I always thought that psychopaths were unable to feel any emotion. They can fake it on the outside but there's nothing going on inside. They can smile, cry, etc. but their eyes remain dead, cold, and expressionless.
