I remember using greater planar ally. The summoned creature was so large, it couldn't move, and blocked my character from moving. Had to reload.

Just bumping this. Struggling a little with Planar Shift (plans to do it as long range Dimension Door foiled by fact that dimension door IS long range) and haven't done Mordenkainen's Hound yet. Q: How do you make a herd of cats go woof? A: Fireball the bastards. EDIT: I am leaning toward Endarire's Plane Shift for Travel 6. Fiddly but theoretically worth it.
Ok, couldn't get Phase Door going as some sort of Dimension Door with unlimited (across a map) range like I wanted, so I introduced it as a long-range whole party Dimension Door effect. Not that I am getting anything like long range for its, errr, range, but that's the game playing up, I tells ya. So essentially it will move the entire party across the screen in the blink of an eye: enough range that you could sneak up on a group, stay out of their heartbeat range, and then have your Wiz 7 / Sor 7 / Travel 8 teleport the party into the middle of the baddies. Should add some spice to a few of the big encounters. Out of combat only.
Can someone confirm if Mordenkainen's Faithful Hound is in the game, preferably someone with Rudy's mod installed? I thought it was, then I couldn't find it, now t's been reported as 'in' again... "Not in my game!" ss an acceptable response by the way, but obviously a positive sighting will also settle it.
Ok.... I am looking in my 8.1 folders and seeing the .py file (#320) but not the Rules/.txt file that triggers the whole shebang. Wtf??? Thanks for the answer by the way sirchet.

The Detect Lies spell I believe is used by the orb of golden death, whether it actually works or not, no clue.
