I'll do the green effects ;) And yes, they should be acid resistant themselves, that makes sense.

Now, re the doors - I tried that a few weeks ago and haven't gotten the hang of it. But, I am confident I can make it work. I had something similar in KotB (a script for whether a door opens or closes) and it worked, albeit I left it out because the door was in a narrow corridor and it was triggering when players just walked past. I'll get onto it.

Sweet, thanks man. Could you also take a look at the Courier Contract when you get a sec, it looks to me like it should work, but doesn't, and I can't see why it doesn't. :(

    Al, I've played thru Patch5.

Ghereg's 'botched' quest is appearing now, and the Orc Captain doesn't crash the game.

The lower exit from the Pass into Kuldahar kinda works. It does take you into Kuldahar, but it takes you to the upper right corner near the Skyship and not on the lower part of the river.

The little boy is still screwy. he runs off after the battle, so you can't talk with him, and if you go up/down the ladder he reappears and runs off automatically. If you go up/down the stairs then he stays put so you can talk with him...maybe because at that point my party members were blocking his way.

The entire Pass appears to be a safe resting place. I had a couple guys nearly dead and I "rest until healed" and it took many days and there was no trouble. I did this repeatedly. But resting in Kuldahar has random encounters. To me, that sounds backwards

Ok, I may have to delete Jermsey and put him back in after to get his true location to stick, I can fix the jump point, no probs. The Camping issue is more Teds thing... Random_Encounter.py confuses the hell out of me, but I can take a look at it.

Kuldahar isn't technically part of the Demo, so not really an issue at this point, I had planned on triggering the Chapter One slide followed by the end credits upon travelling to Kuldahar.

My current goal at this point is to finish up the prologue chapter, add sound schemes, get the last few bits of code working properly (Uligar's random item, the random item in the north-west chest in the Orc Cave, any other random loot I've missed) fixing the last few inventories and store inventories, adding a "Butcher of Easthaven" rep to summon "Pissed off Hrothgar" to retaliate against unruly PC's, and get the Chapter One slide and end credits rolling, and maybe the door thing too if we can figure it out. Then we just have to figure out how to make a release 'legal'.

Ok, I'll check camping in thr Pass (I didn't get that far in testing, mainly stayed around Easthaven). Not worried about Kuldahar right now as you say.

Will check the courier thing too. That used to work!

@FDR4PREZ: when you say "appears to be a safe resting place", do you mean it has a yellow tent icon but no actual encounters happen? That will be because Kuldahar Pass is the old Hommlet map, so no encounters were made for it. I meant to ask Al which goblin and Orc protos he is using around there to do some appropriate encounters.

Al, which goblin and Orc etc...? ;)

I'm at work at the moment Ted, you could pop the mobs in worldbuilder and check quicker than I can mate.

Ted, correct, the tent is yellow and no encounters actually occur.

Inside Ghereg's tower is red, if I recall correctly.

It should be red until Gherag's quest is complete, or Gherag is dead, at which time it should turn green.

sorry, I should have clarified a bit. It remains red after Ghereg is dead.

ah, perhaps Ted only coded it to change when the quest is completed, try speaking to him with a druid.

I can replay with a druid and a bard in my party. This way I can learn the song from the sea elf and then talk with Ghereg... Extra XP is always nice.

If he's dead, get your druid to reincarnate him first.

I meant to include the 'dead' option but forgot. Will fix :)
You'd think so... but WorldEd has decided to crash every time I run it, and I don't have WB on this PC.

(It's not crashing because of IWD, btw, it is also crashing when I power it up for KotB to check things).

Again, this is not my modding PC. :(

Re: the Bombardier Beetles - the D20SRD doesn't state they have immunity to acid, either their own type or other types, so I'll leave that be.

Re: Goblins and Orcs used so far:
Goblin Elite (Archer) 14183 fighter 1/rogue 1 archery type feats
    Goblin 14184
    Goblin Archer 14185
Goblin Marshal (Melee) fighter 1/rogue 1 melee type feats
    Orc Fighter 14745
    Orc Archer 14746
    Orc Shaman 14751
Orc Captain (aka Captain Krunch/Uligar) 14463 (could also moonlight as an Elite Orc if Hard/Insane difficulty modes are added)
    Wolf 14150

    Thanks Al.

Critters doing friendly fire does seem to be an (extremely annoying) element of IWD - in a couple of the fights I had undead casters basically drop fireballs at their feet and fry the party and friendlies alike. Ah well, let the beetles spray each other...

Have you given the beetles a faction?
