    The Acid Jet spell (786) for the Bombardier beetle seems to be in the Co8 game (in spell.mes et al) but the actual py file is not there - find it below. For ai, just set it up as though the person were casting Burning hands (target closest I reckon and have at 'em). I'll have to do a new graphic for it - I take it you don't have any other plans to alter partsys.tab?

    Got the patch installed, tinkering now :)

    Oh ok, no worries. I had done lots of work and had all the NPC's and monsters equipped correctly, and the shaman almost working correctly when I noticed the save corruption problem had reoccurred... Sigh, so I'll have to go back to that patch version again myself and try again. :(

    Question... does your installation of IWD:EE actually come with .TIS files? Or are you just referring to the view from inside Near Infinity?
    My installation of IWD:EE (from GoG) only has BIF files, which as far as I can tell contain all the tileset data.

    I was referring to how I view them in near infinity, sorry I should have been more specific.

    That's ok, just making sure.
    On that note it looks like IWD:EE is actually using a new file format, .pvr, apparently to conserve space on iPhones. Bah. It's not documented on the IEDSP pages, but it looks like the newer Near Infinity can read it and it's documented here, so hopefully it won't complicate things too much.

    6 is rather maximum possibility. Players with a little bit of experience go with 5 (or less) because 5 is probably best balance between exp gain, combat control and loot distribution.

    Started a new game, got TPKed by the beetles. O god how I hate the Mersenne. My front line guys landed 1 hit between them.

    I take back what I said about the ambient lighting - you've done a good job there Al!

    Heh they don't even have the AI or Acid Spray yet, bad luck on the dice rolls though, I managed to beat almost everything in my most complete run through, I didn't manage to get inside the Mill though.
    Cheers mate, it's barely bright enough to see your PC's clearly, yet dark enough to take advantage of the candle and firelight placements.

    Ok, so I think I found the issue that broke my game, and I blame the cat jumping on my keyboard. It would seem that line 1 of protos.tab was deleted at some point, so door 1 was missing entirely.

    That said, I believe I'm back on track and will hopefully have a new patch version by the end of the weekend.

    Ok, here are some updated files:

    - Jhonen (dlg and py): does his chatter about not getting the song out of his head (*** NEEDS A HEARTBEAT IN PROTOS.TAB!!! ***)
    - ChilGen (dlg and py): added some extra lines from the game (the kids now chatter 5 different things about the squirrel, not 3, as per IWD)
    - Accalia (dlg): fixes typo in line 301 (sends to wrong line) and one place where the PC calls her Calmert for some reason :rolleyes:
    - OldJed (dlg): fixes goto error in line 121
    - TownGen (dlg): fixes bard-specific chatter lines 190-201
    - Everard (dlg): fixes paladin-specific choices lines 4, 33

    So next I will do the random_encouter sleep thing and the graphic effect for the Bombardier's acid spray.

    Al, what do you say to having a sleep slide as per IWD (inn picture if sleep safe, dungeon pic if sleep dangerous)?

    EDIT: A couple of bits of feedback on the playthrough (just gearing up for the Orc Caves now)

    - I think Burning Hands is missing from the Scrolls chest in the shopmap, I wanted it specifically for those damn beetles in the basement and it wasn't there that I could see (consoled it, fried the beetles, happy Ted)
    - if there is a concern over the monsters being tougher and better equipped (ie too much loot) compared to IWD, perhaps give them rusty weapons? -1 to hit and worth bugger all on the resale.
    - can't see where anyone sells wine for Old Jed, had to console it to complete quest.

    Thanks Ted, I'll add those now, incidentally I've added a Portrait and Default characters Addon pack in the other thread.

    Re the sleep slide... the sleep video's are already in the game files you have I just haven't got around to adding the call to play the video's yet.

    Pomab sells the wine, but it vanishes if his shop inventory respawns.

    I have uploaded a new patch version, and linked it in the first post in the files thread, but I'm also suffering from the save corruption issue again with it.

    I beleive I have a stable older version, and I am hoping to recover the work done since then soon. I think the issue is caused by the players and or portraits addon, though I can't find the fault there at the moment.

    EDIT: I did get the guest book in the inn working briefly before it broke, so I know how to get that functional, also I think I know where I went wrong with the Easthaven Elite Goblin's random good loot script, I'm also tempted to put Hommlet's mill wheel in Kuldahar pass - if I can get the angle and size reduction correct, and not animated... might look odd to have a rotating water mill wheel in a frozen solid river.

    I tried Patch 2 and it isn't working at all.

    When I start a new game, I am able to create and select the members on my party, but when I click on Begin Adventuring, the game crashes.

    I already had the IWD and Patch 1 installed, so I added Patch 2.

    Then I reverted back to my "before IWD" copy, copied over the main IWD package and activated, then I went directly to Patch 2.

    Both attempts crash when starting a new game.
