In other words, you are saying replace the Temple.DLL file. That would mean having an entirely different game, not just making new or different graphics or having the graphics handled differently.

Are you suggesting making the existing game better or making a better new game?

It would be nice to make the exsisting game better, but as ax thrower said it may not be able to handle very much more than it already has. I want a newer game like this one but with the capability to hold more D&D resourses in order to gain higher levels and explore more of a map world no matter what the campaign world happens to be, mabey even make an interface to "select" your world Forgotten Relms, Grey Hawk, Raven Loft, ect..

The lag in the nodes seems to be caused by the A* path finding algorythm which is hardcoded into the Temple.dll along with all the player character class related stuff you'd need to edit to make prestige classes and higher than 20th level abilities work and the Mersenne twister RNG.

I've personally ran all the tests I can think of in an attempt to alleiviate the lag issue, I even rebuilt the 4 node maps from scratch but never managed to eliminate the problem completely.

I know its alot fellows but bare with me, a greater game is possible and like Allyx said this one is too deeply written. I Think that there are programs out there that will do the same jobs that this one is doing, but without the high end signature coding that the other programmers used which obviously is not doing a very good job, exspecially for where we need the game to go. No I believe that all we need is our own resources and some resources from the game like the trees, music(eh I love the ambient sound too much..perfection I'll admit!) and templates for that can easily be copied. Then all we have to do is run our own programs and world maps utilizing the same methods that TOEE does in transitioning across our own maps(which are better and will have more locations of our own design and imaganation to boot) these new maps and scean templates will all run on straight forward visual basic, and graphic design programs we know can hadle them and quite possibly make the game accessable for greater future development also Simalar to the Keep mod(which by the way is my front end I always use)but the keep on the boarderland mod is an example of progress; however I think we need environment to look like the TOEE environment.I will have to do some research in order to find some programs that can be used, I may need to contact my links in microsoft in order to gain information on how to obtain these graphic desingning programs used. Because KOTB is not Like an ongoing D&D game that can go in any direction or plane with no lag and still look like the environment of TOEE with no lag.
