Howdy y'all, I am running a freshly installed 5.0 with 5.2. I got to the point to ask for a challenging adventure, the item she gives me is a letter T?

It's your install. Hopefully, someone here can help you sort it out. The "T" shows up when an item isn't recognized.

Normally, it is the picture of an item in your installed game.

The item you are referring to should not display like that.

    Read this.

    [EDIT]
fyi - Uninstall the Co8 5.0.0 MOD, download a new copy of the Co8 files you installed and reinstall them using the new copy of them.

PS: It's Hickory Branch, as in a branch away from another area - not branch as in tree branch. Think of it this way. It is a small area within the Gnarley Forest and is hard to find if you do not know where it is located.

Well I did what you suggested. I redownloaded 5.0 and 5.2. Did a complete unistall, deleted the remaining files in the atari folder. Rebooted. Reinstalled everything. Now nothing shows up when I tell her I want a challenging adventure. Tis stange no?

Now that you have done all that, try using a game save previous to going to Nulb and try it again. Do not use the current game save. Something is amiss with the game save or the install.

Shouldn't this be Gnarley Branch, then? Just wondering...:poke:

When I started considering stuff for my mod, I decided it would be in a wooded area and decided upon hickory trees. So, Hickory [trees] Branch [area] was the name.

Hickory Branch is supposed to be a remote place you can travel to within the Gnarley Forest. Hickory Branch is normally thought to be desolate by the few who know about it.

Gnarley Branch should be the name of an area at or near an entrance to the Gnarley Forest.

Easy, there, fella...just :poke: ya. I got it already. A desolate (?) stand of Hickory trees within the Gnarley Forest.

But with all the trees in there, how can anyone see it? :yeaaa:

Is your inventory full [no open slots] when you ask for challenging adventure?

If you don't delete the .pyc files you get the T. Example, the rollingpin in Fruella's inventory was the T and I went back and used the delete pyc in the scr files and everything worked. Might be worth a try.
