Oh, and BTW, an update is in the works. I've just had a bunch of stuff going on IRL. But, never fear!..it is enroute.
Yeah, it was botched alright. No 5.0.2 somehow, at least not the last release. Sorry to add to the confusion. Sounds good. btw, have you had any reports of sectoring or pathfinding issues? I seem to have gotten a PC stuck near that ruined building near the NE corner of the map.
There should be no pathnode and no path finding issues. There should not be any problems with 8 or less characters in a party and moving around the map. I have tested with 5, 6, 7, and 8 member characters in a party, countless times each. I have not tested any parties with more than 8 party members. So, I will visit the sectoring of the Hickory Branch maps and add that to my task list for things to check.
I played before with 501 and she gave me the map the led me there without a hickory, er, hitch. Now I'm playing with 502 and she won't do anything for me. She told me my fortune had something to do with a prison (I glossed over it to get to the HB fortune, I assume it was in reference to freeing the countess) but then nothing more. I paid her 500 coin and she wouldn't offer me a fortune choice as she did in 501. Whenever I ask her, she just says she can say nothing more until the previous fortune has come to pass, even though I've already freed the countess. And there's nothing on the world map to select. So... assuming I messed up on install somehow, is there a way to 'port to the map even though Mona won't direct me there?
Come to think of it, is there really any way to clear Hickory Branch? I asked Mona to tell my fortune, and she said she can't until my previous fortune has come to pass. But, I've killed all the enemies in Hickory Branch and got all the good swag. There's nothing else for me to do there...
@Aeroldoth, you should still ask Mona about the "Challenging Adventure" to trigger the HB mod with 5.0.2, that much hasn't changed, but if your really stuck, open the console and type... game.areas[15]=1 That will mark HB on your map.
Mona only gives you the line about not being able to tell your fortune until the first one has come to pass if you have previously asked for one and she has given it too you.
The way she says it makes it sound like, if you complete what she said is in your future, you could go back and get the other readings.
Hey... first time poster. I'm trying to activate HB mod. I talk to Mona and ask for the adventure. She smiles and says something like " as you wish". But I got no note? My inventory was not full. If I go back to her she gives the line about already gave future. I even tried the console command to mark the location, but it did not mark the world map. Running 5.0.2... Any ideas? BTW - dusted off ToEE after a few years, all these Mods really make a difference. Keep up the great work.
I'm guessing that my install is messed up. Using the above command adds "Hickory" to the world map. However, when I click on it, my game locks every time. This is with 502.
I was wondering, which proficiency type does your Unholy Orc Double Axe require? I can't find the right feat because I wanted to give it to my cleric to fight with it but with no result. :/ ============================ Problem solved: I activated the feat with FeatActivator (it was Orc Double Axe proficiency, 039). Note, that I did it in both temple.dll's (the one in root directory and modules\co8.500) because with only one of them edited, I could not choose the feat without starting a new game.
Sorta makes u suspect that the man himself isn't proficient with his own weapon We shoiuld make a list of weapons that can easily be introduced into the game, then activate them. Edit: Thats peculiar, by my reckoning the Orc feat has always been there. Not that I've tested, just by looking at the files. :scratchhe Axe has always been there too, its just had an upgrade.
My cleric is a dwarf, and has had no proficiency with Orcish axes. I had to activate the feat so that I could choose it while levelling up. Oh, I have also added feats like weapon focus greater weapon focus, improved crit, weapon specialisation etc. for it into my temple.dll Ah, Spellslinger did a really great job on the program.
