I spent 5 hours last night building a one-room crypt and, when done, I took a digital image snapshot of it. Oh dadgummed, did I just say crypt tombstone) and give a clue? Well, it's definitely eye candy, for sure. *w00t* I will add the new room to ToEE in my Hickory Branch MOD tonight. Also tonight, I will work on some other stuff for my new mod. I hope to get it all done to a point so I can plan on working on the final touches for my new map mod, tomorrow, Friday night - before and after StarGate1 and StarGate Atlantis [not during].
Here's some information for you, a hint. When I am working on the mob content of my new outdoor map mod, Hickory Branch, I think about how my mod will play in the game and I can almost smell the pork [pig on a spit], that, and all the other foul critters, too.
Before I can release my Hickory Branch MOD, there are some things I need to complete or change in my mod. (1) finish some scripting (2) alter one AI Strategy and make/add two new AI strategies (spellslinging) (3) move one small band of monsters (4) add one more specific monster to one place (5) add a door (6) combine the files from my mod to the latest Co8 5.0.1 files for my release (7) do final testing of my entire mod I have only averaged about 3.5 hours of sleep each night all this week. I can barely keep my eyes open right now. I need to get some sleep tonight so I can do these things [properly] when I continue and finish my new mod tomorrow. I promise to start as early as possible, tomorrow, starting as soon as I wake up. Sorry guys, but the release of my mod will have to be tomorrow, Saturday, July 22nd - East Coast US. This is my first real mod, and I want it to be right the first time through when people play it with no bugs for total enjoyment. My goal is for people who have their ToEE game patched, including the latest revision of Co8 5.0.1 MOD, to have the best experience possible with my mod. I just need one good restful night of sleep.

Ambitious! So am I readin gthis right, and it's to be an addition to TOEE in the manner of the Verbobonc mod, or is this to be a new environment like KOTB?
It's a completely new addition for ToEE. I made some changes and updates to it this past weekend. Sunday, I talked with a couple of modders; we agreed on some additions for my new map mod, Hickory Branch. So, there has been a delay for its release. I will get it all done. Then, it will be released. I'll keep you posted.
check out this link for adventure ideas.... http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/oa/20030530b now if I could ever get my .mob issues corrected, I will be on my way to learning how to mod....
I dont know if I have a corrupted protos.tab maybe that is causing the mobs to lock.. I have followed the instructions to a "t"... Can I try using the protos.tab that is in the KOTB download....
No. If you don't have a backup of your proto.tab (always backup files before modifing them) either re-install 5.0 (deactivatie the module in front-end first), or apply the 5.01 fixes, that will overwrite your protos with a new one. First option is probably the best. Copy any files you've modified to a temp directory, re-install, test, then start copying files over one at a time and testing. Cuchulainn.
You can use the following protos.tab file. -> Co8 5.0.0 MOD, Cumulative Fixes-Final.rar <--- click there, to the left and download Remember that you will need to use the correct description and long_description files, too. Although, you could do an uninstall and reinstall of ToEE, instead. Maybe doing a reinstall of ToEE would be more work [effort], but you would be sure of having all the correct files. Suggestion: IMO - With a clean install of ToEEWB, copy each file you need to modify from the ToEE game folders to the parent ToEEWB folder. Once you get the files to mod in the ToEEWB folder, make a zip or rar archive copy of the ToEEWB folders, right-click and send to compressed (zipped) folder or add to zip or add to rar. And, once each day when done testing and everything works, make another zip or rar. This provides several copies over time, as many as you only want to keep and named with whatever naming convention that works for you. Plus, you can go back to a previous version as, and if, wanted. If needed, at any point, you can delete all the content of the ToEEWB folder and extract a zip or rar copy of a previous set of mod files to the ToEEWB folder without uninstalling and reinstalling ToEEWB.
is it possible someone could email me a fresh copy as I took my CD's home and now I don't know where I set them.. thanks in advance....
