I have not experienced that. Go back to Hommlet and try saving your game while in town, instead, and see if it still becomes corrupt or not. To continue your game, if you can save it in Hommlet, instead, do not save it near the chest when you go back. You can also reapply the last Co8 mod you applied to your game over top of your current install. (I will not even consider quicksaves or its twin evil cohort.)
fyi - There is another treat I am adding to the list for everyone to encounter in my Hickory Branch MOD upgrade for the Co8 6.0.0 MOD release! The Fiendish Minotaur is going to have a pet, new and never before in ToEE - D&D 3.5 SRD rules compliant and will have a real nice eye-candy look to it, too.
I am making a new map for my mod this weekend, among other things. Here's a sampling of the grass tiles I am making for my new Hickory Branch MOD map. At this low of a resolution, you really cannot see the graphic texture. It looks more finger paint-ish than like a texturized graphic at this low rez. When you see the real deal in game, it will look real sweet.
I've tried making grass textures from photos of real grass - it was a nightmare. This is great to see Kap'n!
there is heaps of empty grass in emridy meadows map (and other maps). couldn't we just borrow grass from there for our new maps?
Yes, someone could snag a copy of its and other ground textures and apply those textures to tiles. That would take time to put it all together. I am trying to put my mod upgrade together. Ax Thrower is currently trying new stuff. For now, maybe he could experiement with it and see how it looks?
