If I was a professor, they wouldn't be sms-ing in my class, either.

One professor I had knew how difficult he was to take notes from when he lectured. So he gave everyone an outline of his lectures. Smart teacher to know his limitations.

I don't mind professors who 'entertain' if their 'entertainment' has content that is relevant to the course material.

And if the prof knows his/her stuff, they can be as strict as they like afaic.

I hate it when one drones on and on, though. I lose focus.
