small bug in blacksmith dialog

Hi all,

I've found a small bug in blacksmith masterwork weapons dialog - instead of guisarme there is battleaxe (it looks like battleaxe, works like battleaxe, but it's named guisarme).

In protos.tab there is:

I certainly never edited the stats for that, so it must have been a pre-existing thing we failed to notice. My appoligies.

Twobells reported a CTD with the widen metamagic feat

Currently unconfirmed

 

There seems to be a bug with the metamagic feats on some people's computers as well whcih causes a CTD when you enter the metamagic spell creation screen and hover your mouse over one of the metamagic feats.

It's got something to do with the feat.mes file. Must be a bit limit or something because the game runs fine after you delete that file.

The strange thing is that it isn't causing any crashes for me.

 

I don't know if its a feat I've taken or something I am carrying, but my sorcerer usually does a CTD on everyones machine if you try to alter any of the metamagic spells.

If your interested in checking it out, maybe it could help one of you to have my save.

Empower spell reliably causes a CTD for me in the metamagic screen, regardless of resolution. You can get the metamagic screen to come up, the crash does not occur until you hover over the feat to get a description.

Uninstalling 1.0.0 results in no CTD. Performing a clean install of ToEE and reinstalling 1.0.0 still results in a CTD.

 

I think the last feat.mes that went in to the release was bugged..

There were some last minute changes to it before the mod went live..I don't have the details as to what was changed though..

 

Sigh, internet down again at home this morning. I'll look into it when I get home, see what diffing original and mod versions gets me...

 

I think I may have figured out what is causing it to crap out - there are 323 characters in the line.

This might cause it to crash in the metamagic feat window. It doesn't cause any CTDs in the feat selection screen though. Weird.

I'll just trim it for the next release. Please tell me if you find other CTDs pertaining to the feats.

 

I now CTD when I select Craft Arms/Armor with my 9th level Cleric of Pelor. Also, I can't seem to scribe "Fox's Cunning" with the same character. It no longer appears in her 2nd level spell list, either.

 

I've fixed the buggy feat descriptions. Should go in the next release. Here's a link if you can't stand the crashes:

edit: same goes for

dunno whether that has any effect though.

 

Normally I'd think this was an engine thing and nothing to do with your patch but.... I've had CTD's before installing your patch, but only in the water temple when playing around w/ plate-mail in a dwarf's inventory. However, since installing your patch, I CTD maybe 25% maybe 33% of the time when I change areas. Now it auto-saves first and I'm so thrilled w/ some of the fixes that I'm still using it, but since the only thing that's changed is installing your patch I can't help but wonder if the two things are related.

I bought two masterwork Shirikens and tried them in the Craft Arms and Armour feat. When I clicked on the Shirikens in that screen the game crashed (dhelp error or something).

Oh yeah, was the Spell Penetration bug fixed in this patch?
