Extraplanar chest issue?

Use the radial menu That will make a chest appear. Treat it like a normal chest. Read the instructions placed inside the chest as they are quite important. Then use the radial menu to dismiss it until next time.

 

Are there charges on it or can you use it forever? Like, it isn't just going to disappear with all of my things in it?

 

You can use it forever.

I've been using the chest just fine till I started doing the quests inside the temple. The chest still shows up in my inventory, but am unable to open it (with my wiz or sorc). The animation looks similar to a disrupted spell (or one that fizzles). Fortunately I didn't have any high value items in there per se, but I did have some of the temple cloaks in there. Don't relish the thought of walking around every corner to get mauled by 10 ogres. Currently using the 5.0.0 Final release.

You left the summoned chest somewhere, didn't you? LOL

 

I had one game awhile back where I accidently left the chest on a random encourter map... I didn't realize I did it until about ten hours of gameplay later. This is why you should not play for six to ten hours strait

Got it back by cheating a little and modifying the spell so it would just summon it, and skip the check to see if it existed already.

So on a side note... shouldn't the chest go to the other plane if you ditch it on some random encouter map?

 

Nope. The chest stays where it was summoned to until you send it back. That's the way it works. That's part of the fun of it.

Be careful with that mod you did to the spell. It could make multiple chests appear, and none leave.
