Bimbos of the Death Sun? LOL!!!

Will someone PLEASE give me $250 mil to get started on filming The Silmarillion??? Please, before Cate Blanchett is too old to reprise her role as Galadriel in a few of the earlier scenes!!

And the PJ-version-of-the-Hobbit rumour is still going strong from what I have heard.

Ted its a ripping good yarn bimbos of the death sun refers to a problem of increased solar flar activity and sun spots affecting the micro electronic components in one of the main characters radio..
.it might also refer to certain species of convention goers..

    :)
ithe authouress is better known as a mystry writter and yes these two books are mystries but based in sf&f culture(she was dragged to a windy con and chicon(chicagos (every decade.)world con .)

her other sf culture book is zombies of the gene pool and yes i know for fact she thinks up her own warpped titles:)

as for the 250mil.. .. is that in canadian dollars?:)

it was horible watching that scene in the two towers, the one where the wargs and goblins attack the rohan refugees, the took out half my family, lassie and snoopy gone in the first wave thanks to that stupid elf and his bow, then uncle spike and beethoven get don't by that short ugly bastard gimli.

hey as this thread's well and truly hijacked, I've got a gripe. why is primary always right hand and secondary always left, why can't I be left handed or ambidextrous? I can write and fight with both hands in real/life but I don't remember ever taking a feat in it.

Its your first level feat - in real life you don't choose them.

Sharon Mccrumb, I loved those two books, Biimbos and zombies, laughed alot.

    Speaking of two towers.

500 elves times 20 arrows each = 10 000 dead orcs assuming each elf only kills 1 orc with each arrow.

    10, 000 orcs dead = no siege

I believe they said only 10, 000 orcs attacked helms deep

But many of the Elves were behind the Keep wall and couldn't aim, no reason to think they would be getting killing blows regularly.

U ever tried that thing at a carnival, wall of toys all together, throw 3 balls at it? U look and think, wow look at all those toys, I can't miss... then you throw and realise each toy has a sweet spot to knock it down otherwise you just glance it and nothing happens. What looked like an unmissable mass suddenly becomes a bunch of small and hard to hit targets.

Trouble with your math is...Peter Friggin' Jackson. There ever was only ONE elf at Helm's Deep:

Legolas, Prince of the Woodland realm of Northern Mirkwood. He killed 41 orcs in that battle...or were those goblins?

They were wildmen, and after he taught them not to carry torches, he mostly missed.

With respect, oh Shining One...I submit to you that: :wyatt:

He shot a lot more than 41 times, and there is his knife to consider as well. He is only sure of killing 41 orcs, in comparison to Gimli's 42. He had to grope about in the dark for orc arrows after his ran out. Yes, the wildmen of Dunland were there...they had the torches of course 'cause orcs can see in the dark (like gimlets, it is said...especially the maggot folk of Moria - veery few if any of which were actually at Helm's deep).

So..we disagree on a Tolkien issue...! Lord have mercy! Quick, somebody...another opinion, please!

I know my math only applies to the movie.
and there is only supposed to be 1 elf at helms deep according to the books.

    Uh...no one...?

The oldest and most renowned weapon there by far was Glamdring, the "Foe Hammer' borne by Gandalf, forged in Gondolin before its fall. Anduril...formerly Narsil...wrought by Telchar of Nogrod in the deeps of time, would be second. But neither of them was one of these. Durthang, the sword of Turin Turambar, was the weapon most similar to a darkblade.

Hey...are you trying to do the 'I brought up Tolkien thing' ...again?
