Custom Portraits

well sheriff05 i dont know about you but i havent had any luck in getting the custom pics to work agian. im going to do a wipe and reinstall and try the protraits before i add each mod and see what happens.

 

My error seems to be the portrait.mes, I had left some lines in while experimenting on moving some NPC portraits to PC portraits,
while this did'nt make the game crash in the past, it did with Liv's mod
I cleaned that up and made a new portrait.mes and it seems to be working
at this point, try the clean install and add you portraits, try launching the game before any patches and see if it works the add a patch 2, test, add 3.04, test, etc then at least you'll know where along the way your error starts. good luck.

 

well it CTD from the very begining now. but after adding the temple.dll i get a specific error in the temple file. so its not directly related to Livs mod. drives me nuts, i can put all the charcters in but can only check the first one before causing a crash. its a similar problem to what i was experiancing before but my fixes from before dont work anymore. i had to change some lines in the portlist mes file then.

 

i'm going to need this thread later.

so i hope nobody minds my bumping it.

yeah i am.
i'm new with computers,got my first one like a year ago,
most of the time i dont understand what the hell u guys are talking about!
but i'm trying to figure it out.

when i was growing up, computers were eevil things that tried to take over your
spaceship every so often.

 

lol ok....well the portraits arent really to bad especially if you use a premade portrait pack. the portrait wizard will help you install them and the portraits work well. i had several problems with mine at first but with some help i have them working great now so let me know whats going on and maybe i can help you
