Does the evil robe of the magi look the same as the greater temple robes? I notice they use the same icon. The greater temple robes are black with red lines on them.

 

It's not too hard to kill them without any crafting. Just need the harm spell (clr 6). A high enough cleric can easily desimate their health even if they pass the will save.
