The maximum EEL for a weapon has not changed, but don't worry - you can craft an uber-weapon easily enough with the restrictions in place. In fact, due to the way the game engine works (as Lord Plothos points out) you can easily create a weapon that has more abilities than you can actually use in-game.
Law = axiomatic, so if you're 7th level or above (and can cast Order's Wrath or whatever it's called) that's not the issue. Could be you need more money or XP, or you may already have too much on the weapon to add it.
well I have been waiting to add stuff and I think I shouldn't have. My own fault, first time crafting. I kept thinking 'wait till your 9th or 10th level and just add everything you want' I could have been having fun with it before hand. Oh well.
I loaded on old save last night and realised that I've managed to craft a defending weapon. It's kinda like power attack as in it takes points from your attack roll and adds it to your defence instead. What's the requirements fot this? I was playind with a Level 20 LE cleric (death/evil)
Isn't that Combat Expertise? :scratchhe The game recognises Defending Weapons but I didn't think they actually did anything. Interesting if they do
My cleric is lvl 10, NG, worships Heironeous. I believe I have the domains LAW/GOOD, as when I click on domain spells they are law and good. My crafting selection for weapons is limited to things like defending, flaming, keen, mighty cleaving. I don't have axiomatic which I believed you got from Law as long as you had Order's Wraith (which I do). My mage has it, he's NG I think worshipping Baccob. ?
In order to craft axiomatic, the character doing the crafting must be lawful, in addition to having order's wrath. So, a neutral good cleric cannot craft axiomatic weapons, only holy weapons.
I think there's a level requirement in the game. As long as the crafter is high enough level, and have the prerequisites to craft, he should be able to. Also, it takes quite a lot of experience, so trying to craft right after you level up will take you nowhere...
Yeah, my cleric is NG that must be it cause I have thousands to spend. Weird, its there, just greyed out. I would have thought it would not be there at all.
GA; do you mean the name of the item? Or the crafter's name? I had that issue once (last game b4 5.5.0), and neither of my crafters (arcane & divine) could craft w/o crashes. Was only on temple 2nd level, so it wasn't critical.
