This isnt 6.0 specific, but when I try to copy a spell, and I fail, if I try again it is an 'Invalid Action'. I rest over a day, try again, same thing. I cast other spells, same thing. I go to other maps, same thing. How do you make this go away?
Hi Ranth According to d20srd (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/arcaneSpells.htm#addingSpellstoaWizardsSpellbook), you won't be able to try to copy the spell again until your Wizard has gained a rank in Spellcraft (which is why it's a good idea to add a rank of Spellcraft every time your Wizard levels up). The copying is a skill check (Spell craft-INT), with the spell level +10 as the DC. if you are having a hard time with some of them using a scholars kit helps (+2), as well Guidance spell (+1), bard's competence (+2), Prayer (+1), or Fox's Cunning (+2) can help. Of course saving before attempting is the easiest way to go.
There is a bit of a fudge to RAW in TOEE >.> If you fail another spellcraft check while attempting to copy a different scroll, you can go back and retry the first one, without gaining additional spellcraft ranks. Hey, it was far harsher in earlier editions, where you'd lose the scroll if you failed.
