Composite vs regular longbow?

The DH mod, while silly and tongue in cheek did do the modding community here an accidental service, without it we may not have discovered as much about the sparkling special effects in the game as we have, the Co8 owes a boatload of swarming fireflies, fluttering butterflies, jumping frogs and infesting bugs to @Shiningted, may we all forever use them correctly from now on, and here's to a happy sheep sometime in the future (preferably without a nasty skin condition).
