    Greetings!

I happen to be a new member and after reviewing some of the threads, etc. regarding KotB I was wondering if an offical release date has been announced?

On another note, I waned to thank the amazingly godslike team at Co8 for their TEE mod. I downloaded the latest mod and am thoroughly enjoying it. Please kkep up the great work!

Hey Ted, any idea where I can get a restoration spell, potion, or scroll in KofB?

Heh... Emirkol's first post. Cool :)

@Domingo - check Gazra's play-through, that's exactly the sort of thing he documented. However, I suspect Restoration is a little high-level for KotB, you might have to just console it if your party can't create one. It is the sort of thing that should be buyable, so I'll keep that in mind for v2.

ToEE has a sort of dev tool built in - referred to as the "console". When the game is loaded you can open the console by pressing the ~ key.

You can then enter commands to the console to perform all manner of tasks to debug or alter the state of your currently loaded game.

In your "data/mes/description.mes" file (this file type can be opened with notepad by right clicking the file and selecting "open with..." and selecting notepad) you will find the names of all objects, items, creatures, scenery pieces etc... in the game. Look up and take note of the number for the item you need (scroll of restoration).

Then in game, open the console and type "give ####" (#### is the number of the item you want) and press enter. The currently selected character now has the item you requested. You can now close the console with the ~ key.

Just keep trying door after door. You may find some battles to vent your frustrations. Eventually you will make it out.

If you get to a likely place, use your secret door search tool :)

Well, while it is meant to be a maze, it was not meant to be that sneaky. Truth be known I still get lost in there (though I know a specific way in and out for testing - anything else and I am wandering in circles).

Btw, are you speaking about the main cave entrance or the door to that area? Are you using BadSirBrian's graphics updates?

it was the door leading out from the caves. it is not along the perimeter like the all the other doors. this one is off on its own which made it harder to spot. don't think I am using any graphic updates

I have another question for you Ted! so for some reason, my cleric is at half the XP than my other characters and has been there the whole time. not sure how that happened but is there a way to boost his XP so he is in line with the others? thanks!

Ted may have a lot to say, but others do have answers for questions too, I however have questions. Have you been using your Cleric to craft scrolls, potions or other magical gear? There is an XP cost for crafting items which may account for your Cleric being lower in XP than your other party members. If not, perhaps your Cleric has been dead for some time and only recently revived? Otherwise, I have no other help to offer.

Another possibility would be if the cleric was multi-classed with a non-favored class - once the cleric level was more than one apart from the other class he would start taking XP penalties.
