Congratulations and thank you all! The few hours I have played so far have been a real joy. You have captured the PnP experience nicely with the plots and NPC interactions well integrated. I too am compelled to explore and click on everything. I'll be back to relate my tale, provided I survive the challenge against the forces of Chaos!
@Latmorril: Post about what you really liked.. * the "easter eggs, eye candy, and brain food" THREAD.
Aye, that was me. Rest assured, I've got a pretty good grip on what's going on over there. @Sirchet - the download from the ModDB server was available shortly after the Filefront one was, although I saw it down once. They seemed to be having site trouble that day.
That's what I get for misinterpreting what was posted. heh heh btw...I got it from FilePlanet minutes after it was available. Again, I feel compelled to thank all of you for such a great job! Almost forgot...my easter egg. A druid called MASTER BRATAC, SG-1 anyone?
Yep...Master Bratac carried a staff, he's old, and very wise...very druidish. Me thinks there is an SG-1 fan amoungst you. Next we'll have a ranger named Teal'c.
Not to totally derail this thread but I always pictured Bratac as a monk, myself. Now the Nox, they are Druids for sure.
I can't say anything else than APPLAUSE guys. You did a hell of a job. Nothing disappoints me so far, actually I just keep on loving it more and more!!!!!!! Hats down, ladies and gentlemen
It is essential that KOTB be compatible with and not break a normal TOEE + Co8 install. Most folks do not want to un-install\re-install the game. Is this being worked on?
Not sure I understand the question - as far as I know, KotB will be a module for the frontend which will not interfere with anything else, much as one can choose to play a vanilla game or a Co8 game through the frontend. Hope that answers your question.
He asked about compatibility and it being worked on. From mostly Allyx and some ShiningTed (post # 74, # 76, below), his questions were fully answered.
krunch, you do like to make it hard on yourself don't you. :evil_laug As long as the 5.0.0 installer has the ToEEFE (frontend) option checked when installing it, multiple modules are as simple as extracting the .rar/.zip to the root directory, and will not break the game while still allowing the use of multiple modules. Non-ToEEFE installs have to either be messed about with (not recomended to those who don't know how) or reinstalled as a ToEEFE game instead.
