    Next clue ...

:point: (highlight to the right if you can't see anything)
You can see him and/or his shadow walking around outside of combat at night. Don't rest. Just attack.

    Hi Gaear
Got it. "No rest for the living" might make a good clue. Once I found the first one the rest was straight forward. Sorry it took me so long. By the way, I had just finished the quest and had returned to the top floor of the castle when I had a CTD.

    Ghostbusters or Ghostbusted ??

    Hi Gaear
Got another one for you. I reloaded the save prior to encountering the ghosts, went up to the 3rd floor, "rested" and attacked the ghost when it showed up. I then waited to see it's shadow but it never showed. Note the time showing on the screen grab: When I started waiting it said "22:32". I have included the saves (the before and one seconds after the screen grab) and players for you to look at if you wish. I don't know if it is significant or not, but in the Die Roll Dialogue Box it shows that Elmo hit the ghost and did no damage. That occurred at about 15:30 Game time.
    TRC.

Heh, this looks like an episode of 'Ghost Hunters.' ;)

You have to change maps for mobs to be activated in the day/night transfer process. You'll only ever be disturbed if you rest - you won't get anywhere with them that way. (They are there to plague you, plain and simple, unless you can figure out how to 'help' them.) And they do indeed take no damage. You can't kill them because they are already dead.

I can second that. Except instead of a CTD the game just hanged and I had to ctrl+alt+del out of it.

    Hey all,
I'm playing the 6.0 nc modpack. It is awesome. I have three issues
1: A bug when fighting the hextorites in the temple. I have a NG party. My wizard casts a cloudkill spell and when my ranger casts a thorn growth spell the game crashes
2:When going after the pelorites in welkwood bog, chain lighting spells crash the game.
3: the ghosts in the castle. I found the first one upstairs and it tells me the story. I cannot seem to find the others? Help please

1&2: some spell effects just seem to crash the game. I doubt the modders could do much about it - though I'll let them answer that. For me, most of the time it's because there's too many targets. For example, in the fight with Pelorites the game doesn't crash if you select fewer targets for chain lightning - 8-9 worked just fine for me.

3: Follow the directions by the first ghost. The second guy's outside, the third's in the basement. You have to visit them IN THAT ORDER - I'm guessing for storytelling reasons.

If you've had the conversation with the first ghost and took the quest, the second ghost should appear. Once you exit the tower you should hear the ghost scream. Look around a bit, he can be hard to spot in the dark.

Yoy don't ever really 'take' the quest, it just gets mentioned. That's enough to put it in motion, which means if you talk to ghost #1 at all, you are on your way. Are you looking for ghost #2 at night?

They are supposed to be there on the first map (Welkwood Woods). I've never heard of them not appearing properly. Did you get the battle sequence where the Hextorites approach you and all that?
