Co8 8.1.0 bugs

Hello everyone,

I found the starting page of in-game help broken for me when the game is launched in windowed mode. Screenshots are attached. I was using 1280x720 resolution for both modes.

System:
Windows 8.1 x64, AMD HD6850 with Catalyst v13.9
Game launched via TFE-X with administrator privilege.

Any help is appreciated!

EDIT: see a workaround at post #113. May or may not work.

 

The game was very laggy leading up to that point, but then it just stopped...I had to open task manager to close the game(I couldn't even go to desktop).

It started lagging after I entered the area of the fire temple with the salamanders and flame brothers.

lol I think I found another one...the ogre priest I was fighting casted bull's strength on Skorp while he was in my party.

 

I get an error telling me that there's not enough disk space. How many GB does TOEE need to set up, anyway? I have 73GB free on this disk.

This is the RAW. Maybe in ToEE it's different, but according to the PHB and the SRD the only relevant stat is your spellcraft check and your charcter level's got nothing to do with it apart from the calculation of your maximum ranks in the skill.

 

I have been able to copy any spell. My wizards aren't any domain or specialization. It doesn't show up in the dial when I try to copy it.

 

Just completed the problem with ghosts quest. I went to the moathouse to get the head, hands and feet. I then gave them to Turuko in the upper level of the Castle of Lords. Why didn't they leave my inventory? I was going to mention this for 8.0.1 but I moved on and didn't find this area.

 

One more and this is more of a question:

Are you supposed to be able to scribe all the wizard spells?

I have found at least 4 (2 from 8.0.1 and 2 from 8.1.0) that I can't scribe and will tell you them if you need to scribe all the wizard spells.

I say at least because my 8.1.0 wizards are only up to getting level 7 spells.

 

I have just started the 3 fugitives quest (again) because I got to an encounter where two enemies were off the screen and I couldn't attack them or run away. I have saved it during the fight if you want it.

 

During the 3 fugitives quest, I would tell the first one that my party was full and it should start an attack sequence. It didn't with each of the 3 fugitives. I had to hit c to start the combat. I also told Murraya that I killed Hedrack and all I got when it came up and said (attack) was Meleny saying "May Beory protect us" and no combat.

Is there a problem with these 4 encounters?

 

I'm a 17th level druid(I just started preparing 9th level spells), and after I rest the game immediately crashes to desktop.

Entering the menu also immediately crashes the game, but only after resting.

edit: Its definitely getting my new prepared spells that's bugging it. I have a quickened summon nat. ally V and an empowered fire storm spell, could that be affecting it?

 

I tried resting again, this time with only base 9th level spells(no metamagic or lower level spells) and the game doesn't crash. It appears that preparing 9th level metamagic spells crashes the game when you rest.

edit: And at level 18, the game crashes period if I rest with my spell slots filled.

 

I have some questions about some monsters. I keep getting the Lizardman Rogue, Lizardman Warrior, Lizardman Magic User, and Lizardman Battlepriest. Are they only to have a few silver pieces like regular lizardmen?

 

I have killed Darlia and Lerrik in the maroon moon. They shouldn't insult my female Paladin like that. Then I took out the busboys just below them. The person who took my money to start this said I better watch my back when I left. I just ran into two Hill Giants of Hextor. They had good gold and gems but they are CR-1 and no XP. Is this supposed to be like that?

I do like more than just being told that they are doing nothing and this is assuming that Darli and Lerrik are doing this. I have ratted out the Hextorites and killed the Gremlich.

 

Just found one more. I had Elmo run to attack a Lizardman Rogue. The Rogue got an attack of opportunity and Elmo got one also (my Scather carrier). Then it stuck on him. I tried the use an item in inventory and it didn't work.

Is this one of those "Don't do that" moments?

I have had Elmo with Scather in other incidents of this and using the health bad I purchased really early in the game worked so I could get moving again.

This crash as I call it happens to not allow anything to work including the esc key to quit the game. You have to control-alt-delete to get the task manager to stop the game.
