My current bug is that whenever I try to do the Kendrew fugitive quest, I find that, as soon as I shift my party of 8 characters to the upper floor of the Welcome Wench, that 1 of my characters, the 7th, proceeds to disappear. I can find her in the book on the ground floor of the Welcome Wench, but she is in "red" so cannot be reintroduced into the group. Please fix this!
The game can't add NPCs (even those required for a quest) to a party of eight. You need to use fewer PCs to do those quests. I usually run with six, as there's at least one quest that requires you to add two NPCs to get all the way through it (I think it's the one you're working on now, actually).
Daryk, the one that you add 2 NPCs is the sewer quest in Verbobonc. If you want to add all the people for Kendrew, you have to add 3 since they add up with all 3 fugitives.
Not sure if that is true, because... Spoiler I thought the third fugitive does not join your party, but instead the three fugitives turn on you when you reach the third fugitive.
You have 3 fugitives...I usually don't add them to the group though. The sewers you need 2...If I remember correctly.
If you are lucky enough to reduce Tolub to zero hit points and he falls unconscious, you can loot him of his gear, with no repercussions from him after he wakes up. You have to wait for him to wake up before he tells you that you won the fight.
I read somewhere you were looking for a way to stop people from taking the equipment from the losers of the drinking contest. I found Nira the jewelers chest. It has a DC of 28 to see the trap on the chest, DC of 28 to open the chest, and if you take the items out of the chest, you get into a fight with Nira and two guards. I think this is how you can come up with not looting the losers of the drinking contest.
I am not trying to make this my blog, but I just ran into a situation that I have to ask about. I read in the walkthrough that you get certain things for freeing Prince Thrommel. I have been taking all of his items (excluding Fragarach since you can't take that). After waiting two weeks to get the Lord Grundel encounter, I got the Lord. I walked up with my CG Ranger (he had Prince Thrommels belt, ring, and necklace), and he started talking. Before he gave me Scather, 2000 gps per person, and the amulets for Furyondy and Veluna, he asked if I wanted something else...Specifically some prayer beads, cloak of resistance +2, a scroll with 12 level 1 spells, and I think the other item was a shield +1. Is this supposed to happen?
I didn't have Mona read my fortune...I then looked in the dlg file for the 00185knight and it says if you are the holder of the medallion, you get those items. I have also read that you can get a repeating crossbow from the Hommlet tailor but I haven't gotten it. Try it...I did the knight one by mistake...Maybe there are more things out there that haven't been found.
If you have a high enough Bluff skill, you can convince the Militia Captain to let Jinnerth join the Militia without having to sew uniforms. In that situation, Jinnerth gives you the repeating crossbow.
I thought if you were wearing the Prince's stuff you might get arrested when the rewards show up If Thrommel dies in combat, you can take Fragarach from him. I think you might need to hide it in your extraplanar chest, or he reclaims the sword when he leaves.
I can confirm that while wearing the medallion, Lord Grundel offers that PC a choice of an extra reward from a list of four rewards. The order of receiving the rewards is first you get the potion, ring, platinum, then the PC who is wearing the medallion then gets to choose one additional reward, either 12 1st-lvl scrolls, prayer beads, +1 shield, or a cloak of resistance +2. After that, Scather is given. If you do not have enough empty inventory slots, then you don't end up getting Scather. You can be holding Fragarach, but Lord Grundel doesn't seem to care.
