My game randomly seems to go from states where resolution hopping of any kind causes a CTD, and then back into a state where it doesn't.

Movies and Alt-tabbing are the two things that change resolution. I like sirchet had disabled most of the .bik files by renaming them .bak, though I missed a couple and was surprised on a recent game to see the salvers video played back without crashing my game.

When I thought about it, the other thing that had changed recently was that I was able to alt-tab in and out of the game without a crash. I'm fairly sure these things are related somehow.

The unhelpful thing is, I either didn't change a thing or I have no idea what I did change (I'm not aware of having changed anything)

Edit: Still using 7.1.0 NC, haven't updated yet. All my comments relate to that version.

Gaear, specs are below. The computer is new, the monitor is not. The monitor ran 7.0 just fine with the old computer.

Computer: Lenovo, Intel Pentiium G630 2.7/2.7 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 64-bit
OS: Lenovo Windows7 PC (SP 1)
    Monitor: Acer H203H, 1600x900 native
Video Card: Intel HD Graphics Family, 128MB VRAM

Okay, well there were no changes made to 7.2 that would magically alter your display (that's something really beyond our capabilities), so at the risk of sounding like a cop-out, I suspect it's something on your end.

Did you do it by selecting 7 in front end again? If so, something is still fundamentally wrong.

@Philip, ditto above (the cop-out bit). There's really nothing we can do to alter the functionality of alt-tab in-game or how your system displays videos.

    Yes, 7.

ETA: That might have just been "habit" though. I did not try 6 first.

It works with 6 selected. Just tested it. Started new game and new party with 6 selected instead of 7.

Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v7 / v7 NC Bug Report Thread

I'm playing the 7.2 mod for the first time. 4 PC at level 8.
I cannot travel to Nulb. The game hangs when the party arrives there while the map is still visible.

I visited Nulb before and sometimes encountered similar problem. The game hanged after the first mouse move over the Nulb bridge. But previously I was able to load the game again and enter Nulb.

    Has anybody experienced this?

    Running 7.2NC

I noticed that in Hickory Branch you can rest and leave, but still get the speech about not running back to lick your wounds.

Also the big stone pillar does not appear either.

EDIT: This feature worked perfectly in 7.1NC for me, Philip.

I got that on my most recent playthrough running 7.1.0 NC, so whatever circumstances cause it, it's not a newly introduced by 7.2.0 thing.

I don't know the specific circumstances that trigger it, though I have a hunch that it might be related to taking out the lieutenants before you enter the cave.

Is it just me, or is the ModDB mirror site broken? Every time I click "download now" on the mirror (Game Front), it just reloads the page.

Okay, I fixed the HB blockage/speech issue as well. The attached .rar fixes it and the Nulb crash issue.

Extract to your ToEE root directory with 7.2 active. Will work with existing saves. (You may have to leave HB and come back though for that part to work.)

    See post 445.

@Daryk - mirrors are working fine for me. Are you using Google Chrome? If so, check and see if you've got download boxes going on the bottom of the screen. Chrome is kind of wacky that way in that they don't tell you anything and just start downloading.
