    If the Co8 mod shows as active when you launch TFE, then just click play and TFE will launch the game using the mod. Make sure to set any options you''d like in TFE before starting a new game.

    I just noticed this mentioned in a thread; Zaxis NPC has a "quest" to find his sister. Could this be made into an actual quest in the game? It could go under Temple, and you finish it by showing zaxis the note or whatever is done already.

    There still seems to be problems with Riana in nulb. I paid her debt off to leave the brothel but you still see her there, and there's the riana in the house near ah fong as well.

    Not much we can do about that unless a modeller comes back.

    Known, will be gone next time.

    Has she been in and out of your party? The One at Mona's shouldn't appear unless she has, and the one at the Snakepit shouldn't disappear unless she has. (Aside from when she runs out temporarily. I don't think she ever really wenta way after being freed ... just kept working for profit I guess. That's vanilla.)

    Yes, I had her in/out of my party. I can tell it's a confusing part to code though, with different versions of her and the interactions with her sister.

    Okay, I have bulletproofed that routine but Riana will still not go away from the Snake Pit if you buy her out. I think she's meant to remain available as a joinable NPC if need be. The only time she 'retires' and goes to Mona's is if she's been in the party. Same for Serena IIRC.

    Are you still supposed to get the repeating crossbow from Jinerth after his quest? Because I didn't.

    I was checking out the item creation file in the ToEE directory, and lo and behold, I saw quite a number of enhancements for craft arms and armour that are not in the game.

    // 1000-1999 Weapon Enhancement Strings
    {1000}{+1}
    {1001}{+2}
    {1002}{+3}
    {1003}{Defending}
    {1004}{Flaming}
    {1005}{Frost}
    {1006}{Shock}
    {1007}{Ghost Touch}
    {1008}{Keen}
    {1009}{Mighty Cleaving}
    {1010}{Spell Storing}

    {1025}{+3}
    {1026}{Fortification, Light}
    {1027}{Glamered}
    {1028}{Slick}
    {1029}{Shadow}

    {1030}{Silent Moves}

    {1035}{Bashing}
    {1036}{Blinding}
    {1037}{Fortification, Light}
    {1038}{Arrow Deflection}

    Do any of these unimplemented extras happen to be possible to implement?

    Side question here - what characters I supposed to create to play NC mod succesfully?
    I liked to play standard game with 25 points builds (dont need to reroll 20 times and get exactly what i wanted), it lead to wizards having generally 16 int, clerics having 16 wisdom etc. So if NC features higher levels this characters will not have access to high level spells.
    Please give me an idea - what stats characters should have to play decent in 7.0 mod.

    Well, you can obviously roll if you need to, but if it's just access to spells you want, there are two other ways to go about it. You could easily buy or craft a wonderous item that improves a stat, or you could use the point gain on every 4th level to increase the required spell improvement stat. A wizard starting with 16 INT could end at level 20 with 21? INT if he focused in increasing INT every 4th level.

    But do ability bonuses from items increase memorised spell number and spell level availiable?
    I thought stats from items increase only DC of spells, not their number.

    In the moathouse respawn the groaning spirit seams to have an unlimited number of tempery hit points and is invulnrable to spell damage or magic weapons

    I seem to be getting some unusual typos and spelling in my actions log.
    According to my log Tsun, my monk "Hots" a bugbear for damage, granted she IS hot. heh heh
    Also a bugbear is called a B0gbear ... most peculiar.

    Oh, and Plaid ... here is what the SRD 3.5 says about stats and spells:
    Intelligence (Int)

    Intelligence determines how well your character learns and reasons. This ability is important for wizards because it affects how many spells they can cast, how hard their spells are to resist, and how powerful their spells can be. It’s also important for any character who wants to have a wide assortment of skills.

    You apply your character’s Intelligence modifier to:

    The number of languages your character knows at the start of the game.
    The number of skill points gained each level. (But your character always gets at least 1 skill point per level.)
    Appraise, Craft, Decipher Script, Disable Device, Forgery, Knowledge, Search, and Spellcraft checks. These are the skills that have Intelligence as their key ability.

    A wizard gains bonus spells based on her Intelligence score. The minimum Intelligence score needed to cast a wizard spell is 10 + the spell’s level.

    An animal has an Intelligence score of 1 or 2. A creature of humanlike intelligence has a score of at least 3.

    Ok maybe I am missing something that was said in this thread already.

    (anyone reading casual and who doesn't want a spoiler disregard)

    I was pleasantly suprised when Iuz jumped into the Hedrack battle...but the first time i was still around level 10 (5 man party) needless to say things didn't go my way.

    I went back at lvl 13 and using a few tricks (I'll keep to myself) I was able to clear out the room for the most part, save Iuz and battle him toe to toe...still hadn't hit him but I was alive (for better or worse).

    Then Cuthbert shows up and they both take off, just giving me a few more baddies to fight....

    My instinct is to level all teh wya to 20 and try to kill him in the limited amoutn of time before Cuthbert shows up....Questions though-

    1. Will I get another crack at him later if i let him go?
    2. Is there any XP gained if he just leaves with Cuthbert?
    3. Is it really possible to kill him before Cuthbert shows up? (I figure I need a guy with about +55 attack bonus, high str w/2handed weapon, good attack chain and a haste spell (boots).....600hp is a lot to go. I might get two tanks on him, with 15 DR maybe I can do 100~200hp damage around...depending, how many rounds do we get?
    4. If I kill him, will I get to loot him?

    Anyway hats off to this addition, tis a really interesting fun throw in. I got to figure though if I hsould devote myself to this new challenge or move on to some of the other NC.
