    Hello again.

    Info:
    Windows XP service pack 3
    AVG Antivirus 7.5
    ToEE US
    TFE-X 2.2
    Barebones 5.5.0-Beta

    I've been messing about with an evil party, and decided to let Lareth become my "master." However, he doesn't seem to take me to the temple. When I talk to him, he asks if I want to go to the "proving grounds." When I say yes, he takes me to the orc caves. I thought maybe that was a test at first, but then nothing happened after I killed them.

    Eventually I decided to kill Lareth, and got his surrender dialogue. He promised to take me to the temple if I let him live, so I said yes, and he yet again took me to the orc caves.

    So, it seems there's no way for for an evil party who accepts Lareth to get to the temple without going to Nulb which is odd, since to keep Lareth while doing that you have to tell him you're going to slaughter the entire town (and then you can't follow through on it).

    As a side note, I happened to kill Lareth at the moathouse, and then went to the back entrance and got the ambush encounter, despite the fact that I'd actually cleared out the moathouse several days before. Of course, that might be fixed if Lareth correctly gives you the location of the temple (not sure).

    New Install, Atari 1 & 2, Co8 5.5.0, Vista system.

    Fighting the crystal oozes in moathouse respawn (Lubash's room), my wizard was poisoned about four times over (Carrion Crawler Brain Juice, IIRC), and he had one of those red ability damaged indicators. When I checked him out after the battle no ability was actually damaged and the mouse-over text read "Ability Damaged: Error! Missing line 159 in mes\spells_radial_menu_options.mes".

    Heh, that means he rolled a 9 on his d8. Love it when that happens. "It landed on the edge between 8 and 1, thats a 9!!!" I'll see about fixing that.

    Dear All,

    I'm playing with Atari 1 & 2, Co8 5.5.0 Beta, Windows Xp X64 SP2, European Version (I think, it's the budget "Best of Atari" version).

    The "Greater Turning" power seems not working at all with a lvl 2 Pelor Cleric. While with normal turning he's able to make half of the zombies in range flee, with the greater one none of them is being destroyed. Tried a lot of times, without any result, it seems completely useless.

    Greater turning is a level sort of thing and is spotty at level 2. By level 3/4 it should work good. Not really a bug. I always use a cleric of Pelor with strength and sun domains and greater turning will work well.

    Couple of teeny bugs:

    The Wakizashi +1 on the
    assassin
    is already identified: it needs 20215 in its unknown ID thing. Damn tough fight that, until my bard dropped a 'Hold Person' on him.

    The standard longbow (4087) is not set up for Far Shot: it needs 282 0 0 0 0 in its san_insert_item entry. That one was my fault obviously.

    After the Thrommel rescue dialouge he doesn't leave and goes back to the dungeon. Did it twice and he's in the room in a different pose/position and you can do the dialogue over again.
    Totally new install on a new computer with a new cd. Windows xpHome, 2.66Mhz, 3G ram, Radeon 4760 1GB video. Never seen this scenario before.

    Assassin before I even get to Moathouse

    Running unmodified Co8 5.5.0 BETA on clean install of ToEE with Atari Patch 1 & 2 applied, on Windows XP 2002 SP3. No add-on packs installed.

    Lawful Evil Party. For first major quest, went to clear out the orc caves. After returning to Hommlet and selling off the gems found in the orcs' chest, the Temple Assassin was dispatched. This party had not even visited the Moathouse yet.

    I know we are not supposed to mention any Bog errors, but this is only semi bog-ish (not in the zone). When I have the long talk with the head of the militia, I ask (in dialogue) to take me to the bog immediately. The world map appears, takes me east (to bogs location) but the game loads the backtower to the tower (with the guard). I was able to get to see the bog zone my going there through the world map.

    That is a bug, and I believe it's been acknowledged. It's not really a WB error. I now routinely take my 1-2 level parties into the Temple. ;)

    You won't get to the Temple unless you use the conversation option, and there's no encounters on the way.

    EDIT: I checked and it's error #0010 in post 1 of this thread.

    Another bug:
    When you give the drow note to Lareth and he joins your party, and you speak to him about going to the 'proving grounds' it takes you to the orc cave (probably because it is now where the back-tower to the temple used to be). If you kill the orcs with him (since it is a proving ground) he loots with you and then will keep taking you to the orc area if you ask him to take you to the proving grounds again. No way to get to the back tower of temple.

    That's the flip-side of the same bug, also reported :)

    I will expand it by saying if you save there, it says, "enter description here" in the area description of the save.

    Here's the original Jayfie dlg from ToEE.dat4. Just copy and paste to data/dlg and replace the the one that's there. Don't forget to unzip first tho. Now you can do the spy thing for Burne just like before.

    I have Kella in my party and I gave her the Holy Ranseur that you can find in the Temple. It correctly identifies it as a non-proficient weapon (red box, etc.), but if I equip the weapon, it appears that she suffers no actual penalty.
