I was thinking that we could mod the chaotic evil plot so that the traders ask you to murder people for them, and then send you to Verb to join the assassin guild.

They refer to an assassin guild in their dialogue and this would dovetail nicely.

 

I'm having the same problem - could someone PM me too? My google-fu has failed me utterly.

I am a little pissed just now. Had a cool game and making my entry into the Moathouse and fricken encounter the no stair/secret door snafu. Tried to see if I could get by with just deleting my old saves and saving a new one, but the play through was a no go.

SOOOO I will do what they have said and start a new game. Hopefully I wll not have this again, or otherwise I will have to try to activate the module again.

That is unless someone else has any helpful hints I did not see under common issues.

Well just made a quick trip to the moathouse and want to the back dooor. The secret door showed up just fine, so hopefully this retry will be a success.

 

If you start with weapon focus: longsword should you not start with one? Not a biggy, just noticed it.

 

Well i tried to start with a character with exotic weapon, Monks oar and did not get one start the start either. Not sure how the game handles all those possible free weapons.

 

Playing 5.9.2 I cannot edit the party formation. I set it once, I think in the shop map, and now whenever I try to move a character icon I drag a copy of the icon, and when I place it in another square nothing happens.

Edit: I cant sell anything either. The drag into Bro Smythe's inventory does not work.

Do you think I need to reinstall? When I tried to activate 5.9.2 the first time it errored out, something about microsoft new framework. The 2nd activation attempt worked though...

Note2: I rebooted the game and everything works.

 

Also noticed that the range on a masterwork light xbow (the one in the chest on 1st floor of moathouse) is 0 in the specs…

In a related question, that type of xbow is Iolo's joy?

 

Light crossbow has always been 0 but I have never seen any adverse affects from it.

Iolo's Joy is a repeater.

Are there light xbow repeaters and heavy xbow repeater? Or is there only one type of repeater? I am trying to your infamous rogue with xbow killing machine route. He is horrible early on but we'll see what happens.

I am getting other weapons normally (my war cleric of Hextor had her fail).

 

I think, and may be wrong, that the description for Precise Shot feat is incorrect. It mentions that you can shoot into combat WITH a -4 penalty. Isn't the -4 penalty standard? Shouldn't the feat take that penalty away?

 

The repeaters are all light I believe.
