    Well , i didn't work for me when one of the other characters looted, i checked the QI&P before the fight and had 5 marks and after looting i still only had 5, reloaded just before the fight and made sure my party leader looted and i had 6 marks, if you guys says it works I'm guessing that it was just a temp-bug.
    I think it was the gnoll leader, but isn't 100% sure. :)

    Hobgoblin prisonners

    Is there a way to talk to them without putting them all uncounscious (to end combat mode) and then reviving them (a little rude)?

    If you can get at the guards before they attack the prisoners, there should be no reason for the prisoners to enter combat in the first place. I think :scratchhe We'll keep tweaking it :)

    About the prisoners, i had to sneak in and talk to them, when running in and blocking the guards the prisoners attack me for some strange reason.
    one joined me as a noncontrolled npc and the other 2 fled,, where i do not know because the guards were still alive.

    stuck at gnoll cave

    SPOILER

    I got the marks from koblod, goblin, hobgob, bugbear and gnoll chiefs and now I'm stuck, where do you go next? how to get to the next cave level? tried searching, ropes, secret door search tool...

    (also the secret door in gnoll chief's room is a trap but this has been raised before)

    Hmmmm... I did mean to put an artistic hint in for that one. Suffice it to say, the Caves get harder the higher you go. There comes a point where you must go...

    The curate's DLG file has a little bug in it, and the right fix would be to edit that file. But I wouldn't suggest editing his file unless you are comfortable with digging through the Temple directories and messing with things. The details of this are in post #45 in the bugs thread http://www.co8.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11119&page=2.

    A somewhat safer method is to just move the quest along using the console.

    1) Enter the console by typing SHIFT and ~ (hold SHIFT down for a few secs, then press the TILDE key)
    2) Type this very carefully, then press ENTER: game.global_vars[66] = 5
    3) DO a SHIFT and ~ again to leave the console.

    This will be the same as if you talked to the Curate. The dialog you miss would have progressed as follows:

    [spoiler start]

    You ask: "Greetings, your Eminence. I am here at the request of the Master of the Merchant's guild, investigating the disappearance of a caravan. I believe you blessed the Cavalrymen before they left to meet it?"

    The Curate responds with: "[The Curate is somewhat puzzled, and you explain in detail the event and why you are seeking anyone who may have known the caravan's movements. Finally the Curate nods and says] ahh, yes, I see. Well, I hope you find what you are looking for, but I cannot help you. It is true many Guardsmen come here to be blessed before heading into the field, but I leave that task to young Mannes. I did not speak to the riders in question."

    Which basically sends the trail of investigation on to Mannes.

    Sniper question...
    I got the ring and I am up on the wall, but how do i get up on the tower? Also, is Reynard Billy? If not, maybe I just can't find Billy and that is the problem? How high does my spot skill need to be?

    Reynard is not Billy, I thought the same thing when I first saw him. I'm not sure what Reynard is doing up there on the tower.

    There is a known issue with the Billy quest where he doesn't show up on the wall. I think it has to do if the quest triggers at night or day (but I'm not sure exactly). It's one of the few large bugs in the release.

    problem with the adventures lost in the swamp quest

    So how I filled the hope-chest and I didn`t get the key:

    first position: golden stein/golden goblet (tried both)
    2nd: the vellum parchment
    3rd: blank parchment
    4th: tiger toy
    5th: keg of water
    6th: belladona/wolfsbane
    7th: this one is tricky, I tried: tun of wheat beer, tun of brown ale, an empty bottle (can`t get paler that that).
    8th: the ornate quill from the mage desk
    9th: the broken sundial
    10th: the heart of the gelatinous cube

    What did I do wrong?
