    armor spell resistance bug?

It worked fine for me. It was fun watching my barbarian cycle through all his resistances.

Well, all ya need to do is find the 1st Edition rules for Blackrazor (from S2: White Plume Mountain) and you basically have Stormbringer. Hell, the backcover of the original module HAD Elric wielding Blackrazor/Stormbringer.

As for the Balor, colour me stupid, but guys, Balor's are Type V Demons. They are deadly to adventuring parties composed of 8-10 14th level PCs.

Being able to kill one with a party of 8 9th level PCs would be a helluva accomplishment.

Yup, right. The Balor's CR is way above your party of 10 level adventurers. It should be difficult to beat him. But then again - slaying a demigod's avatar (Iuz) is damn harder. :) What to say about people claiming to have done in St. Cuthbert's avatar (that of a greater deity, hm?!).

It is easy to avoid the charm and other mind-affecting effects with protection from evil spells all around. My biggest problem with the Balor was that the game always crashes, especially using Fragarach or Scather.
