Is this something like these oldies Rage Against the Machine or Methods of Mayhem? Tho those aren't noise industrial so I guess not... It's been awhile since I listened to this kind of music... Pretty big list, most of which I haven't really heard, so something to google for in free time, thanks
Well, I didnt get it until a couple weeks back either... it is quite good by the way. I am liking the sound of lyuk... I'll try some of those links when I get home. [at work right now]
I suppose it could be compared to Rage, only these guys are almost completely electronic save for the drums and possibly some guitar use. a lot of the melody it isn't actually guitar, but just very distorted machinery and samples. Gives it a very extreme edge. Heh, I've seen them live, and I can only really describe the concert as a hip hop version of Whitehouse with a black MC instead of an angry, white bloke with a cockney accent. It's THAT intense! edit: also it's a lot more "hip hop" than rock.
Alexei Aigui and Dietmar Bonnen (play the music of Jimi Hendrix) - Up From The Skies  Two great musicians and composers of contemporary classical / modern jazz music, both having successful solo careers, did this cool album together in 2002 - songs of Jimi Hendrix performed in duet of violin and piano: Russian Alexei Aigui (violin) - anyone who thinks Vanessa Mae is good should listen to this guy. His violin attracts attention from very first chord and doesn't let go. Crying, ironic, playful, angry - it's all there. Sometimes he goes so wild with it that you gotta wonder how often he has to buy himself a new one. Sometimes it makes little quiet sounds, some simple, some intricated, but all so right. Btw his father is prominent poet Gennady Aigi (whose works were published exclusively abroad up until late 80s (Perestroyka) due to not fitting into "socialistic reality" ). German Dietmar Bonnen (grand piano, vocal - although not all tunes have vocals) - well, it shows that he isn't a professional singer, but his voice is pleasant. Piano is his profession though, and that's where he shines. Keeps the flow easily, sort of sets the rhythm since there is no drums, or just plays some lazy chords creating, adding to or contrasting the mood of violin. Recording isn't completely live duo, there is some studio mixing done to make it more melodic, like sometimes there is one violin in background and another playing main melody and so on. Here's one song from the album - "Bold As Love". And no, I'm not a fan of academic music, or classical, or modernism for that matter, or even "pure" jazz (although I respect skill and talent in any field), or pop/rock remakes in those genres, but I really dig this record. The two also did a Frank Zappa album one year later (CDbaby has it, and also has one Alexei Aigi band's, called Ensemble 4:33, album, which is nice easy-listening downtempo jazz featuring some sexy French singer).
