My Wizard has the metamagic feats of Still Spell and Silent Spell but when I attempt to use them they list as Quickened Spells (although still only going up one level) they also don't seem to work as either Still or Quickened (I'm hoping, cos I can't be bothered to check the PnP rulebook that a Still Spell doesn't provoke an attack of opportunity). Has anyone else encountered this problem?
IMO, metamagic doesn't work right vs PnP. I just don't bother with it. Why not just cast defensively if you don't want to trigger an attack of opportunity?
Yeah a quickened spell doesn't provoke an attack of opportunity and it's 4 levels higher than the normal version of that spell. Keep in mind that a spell that requires more than a full action to cast cannot be quickened.
