I knew they were making Beowolf about 2 years ago because I knew someone who was making armour for it. Its on my "one to see" list.

another one I want to see is Stardust, its based on the book by Neil Gaiman, which was pretty good.

Why can't anyone make a Beowulf movie based on the original story? My favorite so far was The 13th Warrior, but it was based on the Eaters of the Dead by Crighton (or someone) which was based on Beowulf.

The only Beowulf movie I never saw was Christopher Lambert's version, which I heard sucked. I'll be sure to see this one, though.

I haven't yet seen Transformers or Stardust, but I wanna.

Michael Crichton wrote Eaters of the Dead to disprove an assertion by a college friend who was reading Beowulf that was said to have quipped "no can make this stuff interesting."

IMO - The original Beowulf movie was sadly disappointing.
