7-man party

I fear this leads us to another problem... does opening the console involve the mysterious ~ key? If so, on my keyboard (italian) I have not the faintest idea how to locate it. I checked around the Internet forums for NWN2-MotB months ago, but all the key combinations I found gave no console in that game. So please tell me which keys I should hit to open the console in ToEE-Co8 and I will give it a try.

 

If you switch your keyboard to American English, you should get the ~ by pressing the key just below ESC while pressing SHIFT. At least that is where it is located on my keyboard.

 

... and before you ask how I could type ~ if I can't find it on my keyboard, I googled for "console", "open" and "ToEE" and found several hits where the ~ was cited, so I just copied and pasted it here. Alas I don't think pasting will work to bring up the console

Always weirder... I switched to american english keyboard. Now hitting shift+key under esc I get the required symbol (what's it called again) if I type in a micorsoft word document but still get | in mozilla firefox, like here. In game, pressing the key combo does absolutely nothing.

 

Pretty sure you have the wrong no-cd. The correct one is 33 kb. Make sure you looked at the size of the TOEE.EXE - 3360 kb sounds like the size of the Temple.dll file. The date on my cracked .exe is 3/11/2004.

Of course, that all assumes you're using the English version, if you're using a European version it might be different.

In your install order, the cracked .exe must be applied after the Atari patches, but it shouldn't matter if you put it in before or after installing the Co8 mod.

 

I did indeed look at the ToEE.exe file - not easy to confuse them, and I confirm the size stated above. Temple.dll instead has a size of 6.881.280 bytes.

So if it all comes down to the crack, can you point me to a torrent or something to get a better one?

 

I googled for a v2 nocd being about 16 k, found it, installed it, and wonder oh wonder it seems to work!

OK guys, first of all thanks again to everybody who tried to help me. >Maybe I should start a new topic, but since I got help here the first time...

So, I managed to run Co8 5.5 beta but I have to say I'm rather underwhelmed. First bug I got was when trying to settle thins at the work camp near the castle my dialog options came up blank. No harm, I thought, I'm more interested in fighting anyway. So I cleared out the moathouse, but then I found I can't open Lareth' s diary, so I can't go to Nulb and from there to the temple. I thus tried for new content... after a lengthy talk with captain whatshisname I was sent to fight some undead. Not the most original of quests, but at least some action. So I travel over there, explore a swamp, a cave, a crypt... nice locations, atmospheric... but not a single living or un-living soul around. I>s something actually supposed to happen there? Can someone suggest a way to get nulb, temple and such on my world map? Is the unopenable diary a bug, or is my thief just inadequate?
