5 Regular Guys

First of all how do you become a regular player?
I'd suggest a balanced diet and plenty of exercise.


I've started a new game with 3 pcs and 5 npcs.
I'm going to play through twice. Once as I usually play with plenty of crafting useing the extra items found at Hickory Branch. Then again with no crafting or added items.


So far Ive recruited Spugnor, Ronald and Fruella, and cleared the moathouse up to the final fight with Lareth. So far haven't encountered lag, freezeing or jerkstop. Although I've never had a problem except for the looting bug in vanilla at this stage.

Will see what happens when I enable the EC.

 

How thin, exactly? Will I be OK with 6 PC's?

:yes: She is always first to go in my games. My cleric makes great use of her cleaver though. :thumbsup:

 

No way she stays to the end, It'll probably be Ronald once I take advantage of his crafting ability. Normally I don't use clerics.
Activated the EC. Lareth and his cronies are all brown bread, except Lubash,.
I like to drop in for a chat from time to time.

Miscreants from the Wench brown bread as well.
Black Jay's sheep sorted.

Heading up to rainbow rock.

No lag or jerkstop.

 

Seen off the assassin, cleared out skellingtons and recovered giant's head.
As expected this early no lag or jerk stop.

 

Welkwood Bog cleared.
No lag but at one point during the fight with the lich.
Screens from the tutorial kept popping up.
IE I'd hit the arrow to indicate a PC's turn had ended and a black screen appeared saying
You've killed a rat now loot it's body.

 

I know I didn't sign up, but I have a lag and jerkstop report to give. Hopefully this is the right place.

Lag: Temple Level 4, just after clearing out the right hand side of the dungeon before the trap in the corridor. I had just finished looting the barracks, and hung for a good 30 seconds or more in the diagonal passage on my way back to the main corridor.

Jerkstop: Just after receiving the Moathouse respawn quest, I headed south on the main road to see Kent. About half way to his house, jerkstop kicked in with a vengeance, so I quit and came straight here to report. I'll see if a reload clears it, but I had just loaded the game before talking to Smith.

Update: Entering and exiting the Wench before talking to Smith seems to have ducked the jerkstop. I'm now past the respawn, but don't know how much time I'll have to play further during the week.

 

I think we are supposed to report it somewhere else but where I'm not sure.
That lag happens on the otherside of the hallway as well when you move from the room with all the trolls in it. (where you rescue Padia)
I always experienced lag there but it seems to have decreased with the adoption new movement system.
I'm not there yet so can't report it here.
There should be a lag and jerk stop threads to report to I'll see if I can find them otherwise maybe the mighty G will point us to the promised land.
