    Yeah I agree with that last bit - his dlg suggests he has single-handedly driven a whole clan of gypsys from the area, except for Mona and Serena. Presumably he is a master of the Shaolin Drunken Fighting style, but forgets this when sober.

    What makes it stranger is that his standpoints are among the most complicated in the game, which is probably why they attached not one but two quests to him being there; because so much work had gone into moving him back and forth. All that work, but for such a weak plot point :shrug:

    GAME BREAKING BUG: Unfortunately after trying many times, I always end up having one of my PCs (always the same but at different moments) causing a severe bug. After attacking, the game does not move to the next in the list. The music goes on and I cannot even access the menu with ESC. The action time is depleted but I can still push on the red "end of turn" button. Once I have done it, it's greyed out but the game doesn't move ahead. The fight I am speaking about is the one against Bassanio (sp?) and its salamanders in the Temple of Fire. In that very area, I did also notice that moving through it causes the game to stutters enormously. Thought to report this to you guys...

    Right! I am using Fragarach with that character. Can this be an issue? I have used it in many many fights and never got a problem (those attacking me got some though... :grin: )

    More to report: in Verbobonc the Prince and all the gnomes have a black square with a white mouse pointer to the top left as portrait. Any idea why?

    More in Verbobonc: when you enter the magic store close to the tavern and you want to start the shop, there is a bug in the dialogues: you have the chance to select directly the "Nice selection of scroll you have here..." (or some such) option resulting in the end of the dialogue. If you choose the same after first saying "Hello" then it works and you start bartering.

    Fragarach and Scather's AoO ability causes an endless loop when fighting creatures that cause damage when you hit them (like Salamanders or the Balor.) This is one of the oldest bugs in ToEE that no one has been able to fix other than by deactivating the AoO feature altogether. There is actually a recently revived thread in the ToEE forum that details how to remove the effect.

    Okay, thanks for the info, erkper.

    This loop problem must be somehow random because the bug isn't always there. In fact, after some attempts, I managed to defeat all the salamanders (I saved at every end of turn).

    Too bad about the AoO feautre being bugged. I was so happy to give that fantastic sword to my CN Half-Orc to take full advantage of its qualities.. :yeaaa:

    @Salk: Yeah, I keep forgetting to add the gnome portraits, they are in the portrait and voice pack, and work perfectly when the pack is added to the module, but the portraits should be added to the CMF for those without it.

    The scroll seller has been fixed with the latest CMF update

    It's still not working for me. Even re-downloaded, re-applied and manually deleted my *.pyc files and map cache even though I've got ToFFEE set to auto-clean the cache on startup. Still no joy getting the scroll seller to sell to me.

    Also, how long does it take for the weapon and armor merchants to open their shops following their rescue from the temple? I saved them, they thanked me and told me they were blacksmiths and vanished. I went and rested at the inn and came back, took a jaunt to Homlett and back and they still weren't in the street where they appeared in previous versions, though I'm willing to chalk this up to me being impatient. :)

    ToFFEE says I'm patched up with the 2-19-08 version.

    I am not sure if this has been reported yet or even if this is the right discussion thread but I have a few to add to the bug list.
    1: I encountered a problem choosing spells for one of my NPC's Spoonior this particular time but it may occure when leveling any mage I don't know for sure. I picked deep slumber for a permanat spell and after level finalization the spell was changed to dispell magic permanatly instead of deep slumber! this may occure with other combonations of spells so check into all aspects if a correction can be applied.
    2: I noticed that my paladin and cleric spell casters are getting higher level spells in lower level spell slots, this allowed me to memorize them; nevertheless I was unable to use them due to insufficient level requirements!? Thats all I have for now please let me know if I can help with the new patch and I hope to see Co8 go far! Great work guys, thank you!

    I'll have to take a look at the Verbobonc mercants, they should appear instantly.

    @Ben34: This thread is for reporting bugs found in Co8-5.0.0 with the current CMF (5.0.5) added to it, if you are patched up this way, then yes this is the place to report it. Is this how you have patched your game?

    Bingo - that's why it worked for you, I bet. The description for those swords say they give unlimited AoO's for retaliatory strikes if you are CG, and one retaliatory strike if you are CN. Most of the lockups occur when the loop of unlimited AoO's and elemental damage gets stuck when the Salamander or Balor dies and the game can't figure out how to AoO a dead opponent. Limiting the AoO to one per round regardless of alignment would probably prevent many of those lockups, but would likely take a skilled DLL hacker to accomplish.

    Speaking of free AoO: in the big fight against the High Priest of the Greater Temple, I had two of my PCs being killed by gargoyle having an infinite amount of AoO. He didn't stop it untill I was unconscious. I guess this is also a bug...?

    Things I found:

    Hand Crossbow (seems that the only way to get one is to make a starting character with an Exotic Proficiency: Hand Crossbow) has the Falchion's descrpition.

    Spugnoir seems to be completely mute in combat, making comments about surroundings, and so on. His speech is completely fine during conversations, though.

    If Kent, the boy at the beginning, talks to a low intelligence non-half-orc/halfling character, the conversation immediately ends after the first response.
