Isn't the Bing thing faction related btw?

 

Well, who is right; is it a Zeb mod or an Allyx mod? By Zeb's comment, it would seem to be an Allyx mod.

 

I never posted on the Bing with Timer mod; the quote must be from something I replied to.

 

Sorry Ted - thread is so messy and my time so limited when scanning it, I seem to have run two things into one problem (ie Bing and wife dlg with price of items). Of course price of items can depend on faction, and I was wondering if the faction increase for healing Bing with his brother might be greater than Bing's faction increase for being healed.

re. Erkper's original problem. Hmmm. Need to check that out again. It don't do that on my current install though. Probably gamestate related if it is a problem with files up on CMF thread.

My fault, Krunch - it is Zeb's mod, but in my origional post I called it Allyx's mod. Then I discovered my mistake and edited my post to give proper credit. I didn't realize OB had quoted me with the wrong author to the mod.

Is there a plan to update the CMF 5.04 any time soon? I've noticed a number of mods since the June release.

 

Could you put up your Bing .dlg and .py for me Erkper?

Wondering if there is some mess-up with files (my end) going on.

 

Aha! Figured it out! Not a mess-up with your files, Zeb - a mess-up with my install of those files. I dug into my folders to pull out Bing's .dlg and .py, and guess what I found in my data folder? A folder called "bingwithtimer". Looks like I malfed up installing the mod. Dunno why the original files had Bing unhappy about being healed, but when I dropped the mod files into their proper places, Bing now acts like he should. Sorry for the confusion - I guess I will break out Explorer and poke into the folder structures after installing a mod from now on, to make sure I got it right.

 

Bing had an unhappy outcome if you skipped the story prior to my 'fix'. Don't know who did that. Although I built on it a little.

Always worth just poking inside CMF mod rars/zips to check file structure - I know that I don't often include a full filetree.

edit: can I ask you to just check out the bp thing too?

 

What am I looking for? I'll be glad to dig into my files, but I have no idea what the files would be.

 

Erm, not really sure what would make the BP cause a crash to be honest. Any suggestions guys on what would make the adamantine breastplate (when equipped) crash Nulb?
