Re: 5.0.1 & 5.0.2 mods and fixes bug reports

    1. Partially implemented 'fix' to the loot problem by Livonya. No-one has really gone in to play with it since her (AFAIK) as most of us use the hack to solve the issue of NPCs being so loothungry. So I guess 'someone' needs to go in and relook at the dialogue but it's a lot of work and with the 'ethical' considerations, it might take some time.

    2. Never noticed the lack. Sure someone will sort it out if you aren't mistaken unless there's an issue (eg inventory space) which is stopping this.

    3. No idea about hair.

    4. No idea about Pishella but Fruella still has the same portrait.

Well, the portraits and hair are just a matter of personal preference. I don't think it'd be wise to reimplement it in any certain way just so it's liked by a few people (cause there will always be people who won't like it anyway). It's impossible to please everyone at the same time, unfortunately.

Unless something got mixed up somewhere, Sober Elmo should have the same number of feats as normal Elmo. As a 4th level Human Fighter he should have 6 feats. 1 for 1st level, 1 for being human, 1 for 1st level fighter, 1 for 2nd level fighter, 1 for 3rd level and 1 for 4th level fighter.

The reason he's so powerful is because that's what level he was in the original module and that's how Troika implemented him in the game. I see Elmo as a help for new players.

There should be a dialogue option to get the NPC to sell their equipment, which undoes the "Don't sell this" option. The dialogue options were implemented by Livonya to fix the problem with NPCs loading themselves down or alternately selling away the good equipment you wanted them to use.

But to be honest, most of us use the Humble NPCs patch, so this isn't an issue for us.

You can always use the Shop Map option which gives you the ability to buy all of your own starting equipment.

I'm not a fan of the hair changes either. While I don't mind the male topnot, it is pretty silly that there are so many NPCs running around with topnots (the laborerers in the camp, your afformentioned caravan survivor, etc.) now.

The idea was to give players the option to level her up as either. *shrugs*

Spuignoir had too many feats and those were removed. His current level is the same level as he was in the original module, 2.

Elmo likes axes, so he uses an axe. This is per the original module. If you want a character that gets the most out of Scather, you can build one yourself.

That's already been done. The hair styles were changed by either Co8 4 or Co8 5.

Halfling Druid using the Druid's Vestements to take Hill Giant form:

    1) Movement remains 20.

    2) Size bonus to hit and AC remain (should be dropped).

    3) When using Charge Attack, does non-lethal damage. Damage is correct in other attacks.

    4) Halfling Hill Giant is about the size of a Half Orc. Shouldn't it be the size of a regular Hill Giant?

    5) Greater Magic Fang may be interfering with giant's damage. Only damage I'm seeing is the STR bonus and +1 for Greater Magic Fang. THere should be at least a 1d4 or 1d6+STR damage.

Haven't tested with other wild shapes; I don't usually use the ability.

Fruella has a rolling pin now. How clever. But, it is off color and her portrait is a bright-reddish orange, and gets brighter when combat is initiated. Both portraits, initiative and pc. A protos change to STR18 would have been more helpful. But, then again I have my protos/dlg files set anyway. But, a rolling pin. Did ShiningTed have anything to do with this?

I've noticed this problem with other monsters, like the Juggernaut and the assorted Boars.

I initiated the first conversation and suggested the idea of Fruella having a rolling pin...as in she tags along to keep her new husband on the straight and narrow and keep a close eye on him...completely matches her obnoxious personality. ShiningTed seemed to like the idea a lot, as well as some others, and now that we have a rolling pin in D&D... *grin*

[EDIT] I sure wish I could take credit for modding this one.

Btw, all merchant inventories in the game change over time. There is only an 80% chance that a given item that they do carry will be in their inventory at a given time.

Re: 5.0.1 & 5.0.2 mods and fixes bug reports

    1. Then may be it will be good if Humble NPC be included in future 5.0.2 mod? If authors are not against. I also wish the Maximum HP were included too. Because I often like to roll to the maximum, so this should be available to enemies.
It would be nice to have option to select preferences. And adding all changes in one mod is very convenient.
BTW not all NPC have dialog option to sell back the equipment. Melena has option to destroy her equipment instead. So, everything I need to change in her equipment I have to destroy. Also, NPC that can sell items back, don't sell back magic items.

    2. Don't know anything about Shop Map. What is it? How can I use it?

    3. As for hairs... What's done is done. But is it easy for a newbe to remove these changes manually? At least the additional pony tail for men. Too many men are with hair tails in the game...

    4. As for Pishela and Spougnor. There is no need to have option with Pishela. Who needs a wizard Pishela, if there already IS the wizard Spougnor? But 1 level of wizard prevents Pishela from gaining sorcery 5 level spells at 10 exp level. As I would like to keep the level cap, her career as a sorcerer is not impressive. She gains 2 level spells at 5 exp level!!! Who needs this??? Spougnor can throw fireballs at this level... BTW in original version (as far as I remember) he had better stats and didn't have those feats of a sharp-shooter. And I really like that in original he didn't loot money and items. That's why I'm a little sad about Spougnor. He was a fine wizard, though I feel like taking him again instead of Pishela. BTW... Do Pishela and that new cleric have any quests associated with them? So that this could give something more to the gameplay?

And also, as I would like to keep the 10 level cap, will the game be possible to win? What is the level of enemies at the end? So is it advisable to have the levelcap or not? Does it make the game too hard or too easy?

PS Also, in the original version there was such a thing, that while hitting enemies, only ~4 types of damage triggered. For example if my rogue backstabbed with +3, holy, law, fire, shock, cold damages, some of them didn't trigger. So how many damage types should I attach to a newly crafted items now?

That was me, sorry George. ;)

Leksey made a new ToEE model with his .skm plug in (the rolling pin), and I thought it'd be a shame NOT to have the first truely new model added to ToEE since it was made 3 years ago, I just made the icon file and added the mob to Fruella.

    Scarlet Brotherhood Weirdness:

Met the viscount's advisor when wandering upstairs in the Verbonk(sp?) inn. Had alot of dialog options that suggested I'd heard of him before and spoken to a Prince about him. Probably should have had fewer options, as he was only the second person I spoke to in the new area.

Also, head of Scarltet Brotherhood immediately assumed I was an apprentice assassin. May not be a bug, but seemed odd. Also, his name is Dalia?

    Halfling Druid Weirdness:
Looks like all Halfling Wild Shapes are half size. May be a bug, may be a feature, dunno.

Re: 5.0.1 & 5.0.2 mods and fixes bug reports

    Hi all:

Durring the ambush after the Moathouse I charmed the evil monk, Toruko I think, after the fight both he and his side kick's dead bodies stayed as part of my party. I tried resting so the spell would expire but they were still there and dead, so I dismissed them but they're dead bodies stayed with my party. I went to Jaroo and had him reincarnate them. The bodies disapeared but I still have a circle where he would be but no Toruko.

btw....If you charm Toruko you automatically charm his side kick also.

Running 5.0.2 Lawful Nuetral Party, Humble NPC's, Max HP's at level up, consoled in cool Robe of the Nuetral Archmage.

Both of these options are available through the Front-End and (I believe) also as patcher files placed in your ToEE root directory when you install Co8 5.0

Choose the Shop Map option when installing Co8 5.0. Instead of starting with your character vignette, the game starts you on a map with a caravan where you can buy equipment before starting the game properly.
