    Wizgeorge,

Did you truncate the name of your cleaver when you crafted it? I had a lot of trouble with "end-stage" crafting causing CTD until I read somewhere on the boards that many such crashes are caused by the name of the weapon getting too long. So I always abbreviate or just totally rename the weapons when they start getting multiple enhancements. (My Ftr-Rg dual-weilds two nasty cleavers named Iuz' Bane and Zuggy's Doom :mrhappy: )

It's Masterwork Great Cleaver+2+3FrostIcyBurst. That's the way it's listed in Fruella's inventory. I don''t follow your post on the abbreviate or edit when you craft.

I think what he's saying is that by adding the extra stuff to the cleaver the name becomes to long (which is what causes the crash) which means you'll have to re-name it (just click on its name when you're crafting it and call it whatever you want)

I just tried it again by adding mightycleaving and it didn't ctd. The only difference was the crafter was a pc, but I don't see why that would matter. Just a one-time thing I guess.

Just move your mouse up to the item's name when crafting, and delete most of the text. You can then type in any name you like for the item. My glaive that would be called "masterwork glaive +1 +2 +3 frost icy burst" is now called "Cold Fury", and "Lareth's magic breastplate" is named Nalorsgard.

I just think it's a bit more fun that way.

Not sure if anyone is interested in but i found out the barbarian proficient in heavy armor issue is related to the "Armor Proficiency (Medium)". Before I added the "Armor Proficiency (Medium)" to my rogue, the system indicates that the character does not proficient in the banded armor (selected just for testing purpose) and incurred the "-5 to hit" Armor Nonproficiency Penalty; however, every thing appeared to be normal after the feat "Armor Proficiency (Medium)" is acquired.

Never got the dialouge for the control box on lvl4. The rogue was a 10thlvl pc. Even restared the computer, but the dialogue box is blank. Never seen that one before.

    Repeated bug in three runs:

Object of vengence final encounter not triggered. Preston Welts dialog fires, PCs go to the pirate's tavern (name escapes me at the moment), and the dialog in that tavern ("Some folks came around asking about you") does not fire. Using 5.0.1 and accumulated fixes.

Okay, traps are still a little screwy. The fix works so far as if you try to open the chest, the trap goes off, XP is awarded and the trap is gone. However, a botched Disabled Device check that sets off the trap doesn't get rid of it. It's still there to blow up if you botch again or try to open it.

Re: 5.0.1 mods and fixes bug reports

You mean you don't get them to show up at all? Remember, there is a random chance of them showing up once all the requirements are met (which they will be if you are getting the dialog from Preston Weltz).

As for the Tavern, I found the problem. This file should fix it. Extract it to your scr folder. It will show up in the next 5.0.1 update as well.

Thanks. And yes, they don't show up at all; I'm not sure they can if the dialog in the Tavern doesn't go off, and I've run in and out of the houses quite a bit.

Is that fix also in 5.0.2? Just asking as I upgraded soon after you posted it, so the old save games are kind of moot. :)

The only house they should appear in is your own. I have no idea if they will show up if you haven't bought the house from Preston. But they won't attack you in random houses, just the one immediately West of Preston.

Yes. The sequence is meant to be:
    1) Buy House from Preston.
    2) Preston warns you (if average party level is 5+ iirc).
    3) Go to Lodriss/Tolub/Bertram Quest pirate tavern.
    4) The bartender who asks you to assassinate Lodris warns you that strangers have been asking about you (this may require you to have spoken to him more than once; never tried this quest without having done so).
    5) Return to your house in Nulb. Sooner or later, after going in and out a few times, the ambush occurs.

Step #4 was broken. Tested both before and after accepting Lodris quest.

Re: 5.0.1 mods and fixes bug reports

Step 4 isn't necessary. Skole has always been dead in my games by that time. Steps 2 and 3 aren't necessary as well. Those steps are just something that happen if you meet the requirements for the ambush to happen. You don't have to talk to anyone about it.

One thing though. There is no level requirement for the dialogs. All you need to get them is the Target of Revenge rep and have bought the house in Nulb. The ambush has a level requirement, which has now been fixed to level 6+, as Liv intended. There was an error in the code which allowed it to happen at lower levels.

So, to get the ambush, you have to have the Target of Revenge rep, at least one of the antagonists must have survived the initial encounter, have bought the house in Nulb, have been in the house at least 3 times, and have a group average level of at least 6. Even then there is only a 1 in 4 chance of the ambush showing up any given time you enter the house.

That fix isn't in the 5.0.1 yet. It will be with the next update. It will show up then in 5.0.2 as well.

@ Kalshane: I'll look into the trap thing as time permits. I haven't forgotten about it.
