    Re: 5.0.1 & 5.0.2 Cumulative Mods and Fixes (CMF) Submissions Thread

    My signposts mod. Adds a proper signpost to Hommlet, and another one to Nulb inspired by Planescape: Torment ;)

    Currently, this hijacks portrait slot 6610 for the post's portrait. Going by the portrait.mes file, this entry was supposed to be another portrait for the CE vignette (CE_peasant_02), but was never used in that encounter, so unless it was recycled elsewhere in the game, it's completely unused.

    This mod requires Ted's mod for the mesh 10171, so you must install it as well.

    Also, it might mess up your save if it's in Hommlet outdoors, so in that case save inside some building and only then apply the mod.

    There have also been reports of it messing with old saves regardless, making it CTD in Hommlet south, so it may require a restart (so much for 100% compliance with old saves). If you want to remove the file causing the problem (basically the signpost object in Hommlet), go to modules\co8.5.0.0\maps\Map-2-Hommlet-Exterior and remove the file "402653193.sec".

    Re: 5.0.1 & 5.0.2 Cumulative Mods and Fixes (CMF) Submissions Thread

    1. Small dialogue fix for Liv's Broken Tower Brigand guy.
    2. Fix for some area effect spell sounds playing at extremely high volume and splitting your eardrums and speakers. Think Prayer and Stinking Cloud. This fix contains a spell sound easter egg too. ;) I may update this as I come across other too-loud spell effects, as I'm sure there are more out there.
    3. Ambient audio fix to stop that damnable rooster from sounding off every morning in Hommlet. Now you can enjoy the pleasant clucking of chickens instead. If you use this fix, make a mental note: when you hear chickens clucking, it's morning. That's the not-so-subtle message the rooster was trying to deliver. ;) (I don't know that this should become standard, but I'm putting it here anyway in case people want it to be.)

    Added to Cumulative Fixes 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 12-17-06 02:30 (except for the Rooster fix).

    Ted's 2nd small fluffy pack

    This mod re-activates the following feats:

    {44}{Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Hand Crossbow)}
    {92}{Greater Weapon Focus (Light Flail)}
    {98}{Greater Weapon Focus (Trident)}
    {107}{Greater Weapon Focus (Halberd)}
    {168}{Improved Critical (Light Flail)}
    {174}{Improved Critical (Trident)}
    {183}{Improved Critical (Halberd)}
    {216}{Improved Shield Bash}
    {236}{Martial Weapon Proficiency (Light Flail)}
    {242}{Martial Weapon Proficiency (Trident)}
    {251}{Martial Weapon Proficiency (Halberd)}
    {444}{Weapon Focus (Light Flail)}
    {450}{Weapon Focus (Trident)}
    {459}{Weapon Focus (Halberd)}
    {516}{Weapon Specialization (Light Flail)}
    {522}{Weapon Specialization (Trident)}
    {531}{Weapon Specialization (Halberd)}
    {70}{Greater Weapon Focus (Spiked Gauntlet)}
    {146}{Improved Critical (Spiked Gauntlet)}
    {422}{Weapon Focus (Spiked Gauntlet)}
    {494}{Weapon Specialization (Spiked Gauntlet)}
    {482}{Weapon Focus (Hand Crossbow)}
    {554}{Weapon Specialization (Hand Crossbow)}
    {206}{Improved Critical (Hand Crossbow)}
    {130}{Greater Weapon Focus (Hand Crossbow)}
    {39}{Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Orc Double Axe)}
    {125}{Greater Weapon Focus (Orc Double Axe)}
    {201}{Improved Critical (Orc Double Axe)}
    {477}{Weapon Focus (Orc Double Axe)}
    {549}{Weapon Specialization (Orc Double Axe)}

    It also makes the necessary changes in the protos.tab so that the flail, halberd and trident now respond according to their proper weapon type. All are martial weapons and are available to fighters with MWP_all, or to anyone who wants to take them as specific proficiencies. The PC_Start.py has also been altered so people who take any of these feats get the relevant weapon at start-up (and people who take EWP_repeating_crossbow now start with bolts too).

    The {4497}{Repeating Hand Crossbow} has been changed to a straight hand crossbow, but remains untested (at least by me - I can't even remember if I put this in in the first place, or if it was Allyx). Something for later.

    Spiked gauntlets appear proficient for everyone rather than MWP, but otherwise things all appear to work normally.

    The Orc double axe is still being tested but was originally in the game and should be ok. (I believe it currently doesn't have a double-axe pic, if anyone wants to suggest one go right ahead but not here).

    Improved Shield Bash currently does nothing and is there for ongoing development.

    Protos.tab etc based on Sitra's last mod.

    This is again based on the 5.0.2 .dll, since it may 'break' existing feat strings (if u have crafted a +3 flaming trident for your fighter with WF / WS / GWF longspear). It won't break saves though (or shouldn't).

    Forgot to mention: this was all done with Spellscriber's Feat Activator, so he gets the credit (though I will claim a certain reflected glory for myself, as the dude who kept poking him to do it - "c'mon, activating weapons feats would be easy!" :poke: )

    The 5.0.2 version is available here

    NOTE: Fixed all the compatibility issues of which I'm aware. Should roll into the next CMF seamlessly

    Fixed a few typos and a glitch in the female prisoners' dialogue (stumbled upon this when doing the reduced XP test).

    Re: 5.0.1 & 5.0.2 Cumulative Mods and Fixes (CMF) Submissions Thread

    Modified Rannos & Gremag scenario, part 1, beta. See dedicated thread for details. As always, back up! And of course let me know in the bug reports thread if something doesn't work.

    EDIT: Oops, hadn't noticed that Chuchulain had updated his mod for compatibility. So currently, it's incompatible with his! Will update soon.

    EDIT 2: Okay, now compatible with Chuchulain's work. I also noticed that maggit made a contribution, but he hasn't posted it here, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to include his modifications as well.

    Re: 5.0.1 & 5.0.2 Cumulative Mods and Fixes (CMF) Submissions Thread

    The Cumulative Fixes have been updated to include:

    For 5.0.1 and 5.0.2
    • The missing meshes from Cujo's work posted by Allyx.
    • py00075gnoll_leader with the bug fix to get the Slaughtered Caravan to happen.
    • Allyx's Drow Fighter fix.
    • Hazelnut's Charm fix and Hezrou fixes.
    • Gaear's Spell Sound Update 2.
    • The Black Leather Fix.
    • Gaear's Quest Log Typo/Grammar fixes.
    • Gaear's Romag Line Missing fix.
    • Ted's restored Murraya dialog.
    • Gaear's New Movies v2 Control Files.
    • Ted's addition of a masterwork sling to Bing's shop inventory.
    • Gaear's Alarm Cave Lair fix, Broken Tower Brigand dialog fix and Spell Audio Relief Fix. (The Rooster Gone fix was left out as I felt it was too much of a personal preference thing)
    • Sitra Achara's fix for the Female Prisoner's dialog.
    • Gaear's Furnok dialog Fix.

    For 5.0.2 only
    • py00802spawner map15_dungeon_level_04 with the map number reference change to get the Slaughtered Caravan dialog to fire.
    • Allyx's Slaughtered Caravan travel agent removal.
    THIS IS THE LAST TIME 5.0.1 AND 5.0.2 WILL BE UPDATED.

    Why you ask? Because:

    Introducing 5.0.3

    5.0.3 contains everything 5.0.1 and 5.02 do, plus the following:

    • Allyx's Kukri fix.
    • Both of Ted's Small Fluffy Packs.
    • Sitra Achara's Signpost Mod.
    • Sitra Achara's Modified Rannos and Gremag scenario part 1.
    • Cuchulainn's model and icon replacements for some weapons.
    • Gaear's Long Awaited Sammy and Furnok Fixes.
    • Ted's Sector Sorted Sectors for every secret-door related map in the game (at least where they differed from the original stock sector files), plus a few other minor fixes he asked me to through in.

    After much consideration and consultation, I decided that these mods are best only used when you start a new game. Thus the advent of 5.0.3. I also decided that it is far to much hassle to keep up 2 CMF packaged, let only 3, so I am no longer going to update 5.0.1 and 5.0.2.

    As usual, you can find the links to these in the first post in this thread.

    • The light repeating crossbow proto entry I forgot to put in earlier.

    Re: Jesse's new spells thread

    Happy holiday feasting, everybody!

    I believe I have fixed the problem in Heroes' Feast. I tested it just a little while ago and it was working for my whole party. (Might still have issues if you have a party of 5 PC + 3 NPC or some other large combo, I don't know yet.)

    In brief, I changed some of the looping and removed the code for using the spell on unwilling targets - the latter seems nonsensical anyhow, because an "unwilling target" would generally be someone with whom you're in combat, and you can't cast the spell in combat anyway. Besides which, who wouldn't want all of the rad buffs from the spell?

    Anyway, without further ado, enjoy the corrected and updated Heroes' Feast script. To use this, just uncompress it and put it in your data/scr folder.

    A fix for the trap on Jaroo's chest, so it will actually fire now, but only once, and give the correct XP for setting it off.
