Re: 5.0.1 Mods and Fixes Thread

Another new spell for the pot: Mass Charm Monster. I've been working on mass charm spells for ages, but I can't get the saving throws working for mass suggestion, so I thought I'd release Mass Charm Monster on its own.

Also included are spell rules for the Mass Inflict Spells that are already in, to allow them to actually be learned and used spontaneously by evil clerics. (it will come as no surprise there's one in my party)

All of these spells have been fully added to the help system.

This fixes the Minotaur statue on level 2 of the temple so that it pre-buffs with stoneskin rather than wasting the first round of combat doing this.

Re: 5.0.1 Mods and Fixes Thread

The Cumulative Fixes have been updated to include:

    - Hazelnut's Eyebite and Mass Charm Monster spells, Trap Poison Save Bonus fix, and the Minotaur Prebuff fix.

    - Lesky's Rolling Pin (a new weapon implemented by Allyx)

Added to Cumulative Fixes 08-10-06 02:10

Also, Cumulative Mods 5.0.2 can be found in the first post of this thread. It contains everything 5.0.1 does, plus all of Spellslinger's dll fixes v11 and higher. Use it if:

    1) you are starting a new game, or
    2) you are already using dllfix v11 or higher.

Old saved games (those saved using 5.0.0 or 5.0.1) will not load once you install 5.0.2.

If you post mods in this thread that are to be used only in 5.0.2 please indicate so in the post. Otherwise, all mods posted in this thread will be merged into both 5.0.1 and 5.0.2

    Re: Jesse's new spells thread

Minor update. I started fall term at the university so I'm spending most of my time on worthless academic coding instead of real-world hands-on (ToEE) coding. :)

Anyway, this new pack should have a couple minor goodies:

    * Ranger/Paladin spell levels should all be updated so that they fit into the level 3/4 slots with Spellslinger's .dll fix. Removed their ***NOTE*** entries from the spell.mes file and updated their scripts to remove dar's checks for caster class level. Put the correct level in all of their rules files. Lemme know if I missed any.

    * Might have Heroes' Feast working . . . might not. Needs testing. It should not be castable in combat at this point.

    * I did some changes to Scorching Ray, based on people's comments about it not critting correctly. It might work right now - but there's something nagging in my head about it, so it needs testing!

    * Fixed the ranges for Circle of Death and Undeath to Death - both are now Medium range.

New texture for Leskey's Rolling Pin.

Same image, just resized to more regular proportions. (no longer 524 kB)
Dunno if I'm doing this right or if I'm allowed to do this but ... uhm. yeah.

Update for spell sounds. Includes sounds for Jesse Heinig's new spells (minus Blasphemy and Holy Word), Hazelnut's new spells, and Nerik's summoning spells.

Note that for some zany reason, ToEE likes to fire the spell launching and ending sounds simultaneously at launch for Nerik's Summon Nature's Ally VI - IX spells. Haven't a clue why.

I did a fix a little while ago for scrolls that were uncopyable.

Adding it here for adding to the CF.

Found a tiny bug in Bassanio's script

There's a typo in the san_dying script: glags instead of flags. This prevents you from getting a comment about it from Antonio. Hardly a showstopper, but might as well fix it :)

Re: 5.0.1 & 5.0.2 Mods and Fixes Thread

New World Paths by Allyx and Cerulean the Blue
    For 5.0.2 only

    Containing:

-All non-dll file changes necessary to make Verbobonc and Hickory Branch accessible via the World Map, including the World Map paths (by Allyx, using Hazelnut's PathMapper tool).

-A Townmap for the outdoor portion of Hickory Branch by Allyx

-Mona will now mark the location of Hickory Branch on you World Map rather than give you an item which teleports you there. You must travel to HB via the World Map. Also, the door back to Homlett in Hickory Branch has been removed as you may now travel from Hickory Branch via the World Map. (by CtB)

-The Travel Agent has been removed from Verbobonc , as you may now travel from it via the World Map. (Allyx)

-The Travel Agent has been removed from the Slaughtered Caravan map as well, as you can now travel from it via the World Map. This required making a new map for the Slaughter Caravan, moving the Temple Dungeon Level 3 to a new map number, and numerous file changes to not break anything. Plus another miraculous dll hack. (CtB and Spellslinger)

-Random Encounter Tweaks (CtB and Spellslinger)
The avoidability of random encounters now depends on randomly rolled Listen+Spot+Survival checks for both the party and the enemies. The distance between the party and the enemies is determined by the amount by which the check was succeeded or failed. Enemies are now randomly placed around one of 16 randomly determined point, rather than grouped together at one of two points. The true number of enemies will now show up in the avoidance window, even if the enemy multiplier is active. A new high level encounter has been added, though it may still need to be tweaked.

Must be used with dllfix v16 as Spellslinger's work is what made this all possible.

Re: 5.0.1 & 5.0.2 Mods and Fixes Thread

The Cumulative Mods and Fixes have been updated to include:

    5.0.1-
-Gaear's Spell Sound Update and Spugnoir Rudeness Fix
    -Allyx's Scroll Fix
    -My Water Temple Fix
    -Cujo's Longcoats and new weapons
    -Hazelnut's latest Hezrou Stench tweak
-Jesse Heinig's Blasphemy and Holy Word .txt files, and his fix to put the Paladin and Ranger spells in the correct spell slots
-Most likely some other stuff I've forgotten - it's been a hectic few weeks

    5.0.2-
    -Everything in the 5.0.1 update
    -Spellslinger's dllfix v16
-Allyx and my New World Paths fix

There has been a call to be able to tell which patch you have. From this update on, the description of the 5.0.0 mod in Front End will be amended to include the patch version and the date that version of the patch was release. For example, if you install this update of the 5.0.2 patch, when you select the 5.0.0 mod in Front End, the description it the right hand window will have an addendum at the bottom which will say
The build number is the date on which that version of 5.0.2 was released.

If there is enough demand, I may release the Random Encounter Tweaks as a separate patch. For now it is only in 5.0.2.

Re: 5.0.1 & 5.0.2 Mods and Fixes Thread

It seems that the meshes.mes file from Cujo's latest work was left out of the CMF, for convenience's sake, I will post it here, this should fix the CTD's some have experienced from consoling in these new items of clothing.

Extract the rar to your ToEE root folder.

It also seems I neglected to change one map number reference that is necessary for the Slaughtered Caravan dialog to fire. Here is the fixed file.

    For 5.0.2 build 11.06.06 ONLY
