Re: Co8 5.0.0 beta 1 thread Okay, I tweaked a few things. I think I've fixed the loading a saved game bug with Jade Empress on the Shop Map. I have fixed the bug with the Extraplanar Chest. I have tweaked the Ambush. It will now only happen after you have dealt with Lareth (and he is not in your party), and the enemies have been changed. This is the generic spawner script. The Cumulative Fixes have been updated with these changes. [EDIT by Cerulean the Blue] This is included in the Cumulative Fixes.

ToEE tells me I cannot load any of my saved games [loading each one says it appears corrupted] and, also, it will not start a new game, either. *laff* I'll wait till tomorrow in the AM and reload ToEE. Hopefully, a new update will be available at that time. Did Blue say tweaked? ha
Re: Co8 5.0.0 beta 1 thread My first impression of 5.0 is it's all about dying. I'm getting paranoid and a little neurotic and I haven't even got to the temple yet. Get the bugs fixed and it's going to be really cool.

Re: Co8 5.0.0 beta 1 thread Ok, found what I presume to be a bug with the groaning spirit... I had taken Ronald and Otis as NPC's when I got the groaning spirit random encounter (the groaning spirit attacked these 2 exclusively), before long they were paralized (Cha scores below zero) so after I killed it, I went back to Nulb and rested, Ronald returned to normal after a few days, Otis on the other hand didn't so I checked his skills to find our roughly how far below zero his charisma was... ...he had charisma based skills at -135,000,000.0 ranks! (not an exact figure but my memory isn't that great) Needless to say, Otis is getting dropped like a hot potatoe.
Re: Co8 5.0.0 beta 1 thread Ok, I'm hoping this should fix at least most of the dialgue problems in Verbobonc, anyone who has a saved game in Verbobonc or the 1st level of the temple, try out these fixes and post about any problems you find. [EDIT] Added a version of protos.tab that will make the Verbobonc traders appear when they should (their san_heartbeat references were missing.) [EDIT by Cerulean the Blue] This is included in the Cumulative Fixes.
Feedback on the Release Notes Nice job on the release notes. Was this done by Blue again? Some feedback . . . - "Endurance" is wrongly listed as a new spell by Darmagon. Endurance became "Bear's Endurance" for 3.5 I believe and was a ToEE original. Dar did change it though by adding the bear's image effects. - "Disintegrate" and "Finger of Death" are listed as changed spells by Darmagon. I believe they are new spells. - "Healing Circle," listed as a changed spell for Darmagon, became "Mass Cure Light Wounds" for 3.5. - "Burne's Puzzles (dialogue add in). (Co8 v3.0.4)" should be credited specifically to Zhuge. - "The Special Thanks Gang" list repeats several members listed in the modders section. The two lists should just be merged. Otherwise a very thorough job, nicely done. :thumbsup: Edit: couple more things: - There is a "Deekayex" listed in the modders section and credited as having helped Allyx with Verbo-mod, yet there is no member here by that name. Who is this fellow? - Nerik is misspelled "Nerrik" in the same line Deekayex is referred to.
Re: Co8 5.0.0 beta 1 thread Deekayex made a dialogue which is much like the blacksmith's masterwork weapons dialogue, but for scrolls. I believe s/he linked it to the Atari forum, and it was originally designed to work for Pishella, but I adapted it for Ariel who works in the Bazaar of the Bizzare in Verbobonc. [EDIT] See this thread. [SECOND EDIT] If including deekayex's scoll shop mod causes problems (and I doubt it will) I can of course replace the dialogue with a real scroll shop, which will look nicer and it shouldn't take long either.
Re: Co8 5.0.0 beta 1 thread Allyx, Tried out dialog fixes for verbon. Prince dialog seems to work, as well as vicount, However Nyble still does not give me a responce for clearing Drow. P.S. I have installed the latest updates on board ******************Spoiler********************************** The dialog with the scarlet brotherhood in the inn, The assasion tried to give the quest to kill the vicount, I turned him down being CG and started combat. After defeating them I go back to talk to vicount. When I enter building it seems to start combat but CTD. Weapons dealer will not buy items says invintory full. Armor dealer will buy. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem My item crafting feat keeps giving me error messages.
Re: Feedback on the Release Notes Thanks Gaear. Yes, it was me again. This is because I was going off a file compare of the newspells release and the original spells. This has been fixed. Check again. Both these spells were in 4.0.0, though the scripts have been changed for 5.0.0. File compare again. Fixed That was straight from the docs for 4.0.0. Fixed. I don't know about merging the lists, but the duplicates have been removed. Allyx wrote the description for Verbo-mod. I have no idea who that person is, but since Allyx gave him/her credit, I figured I should too. As I said, Allyx wrote that. I didn't want to correct his spelling. Fixed.
