I guess disabling intro movies causes the game to lock up in 800x600 resolution or windowed mode for me. Enabling the intro movie fixes it.
Guess I spoke too soon. Worked once and now its locking up a few seconds after it loads. The music keeps playing however everything locks up.
It looks like the window mode (via the front end) defaults to 800x600. It locks up while no other programs are running. Trying a re-install.
