When is a bug not a bug?

    Im sorry if its in the list and I didnt see it.

    Firing ranged weapon in close range doesnt incur a penalty.Thus no reason to get the point blank shot feat.

    That's not a bug...

    firing a ranged weapon within 5 feet of a foe armed with a melee weapon provokes an AoO, point blank shot adds +1 to attack rolls against foes within 30 feet.

    Your right.I guess this is another rule added in by the NWN team.They list it as "if you dont wanna take the -4 penalty when firing ranged weapon up close then take point blank shot feat".

    These posts were moved out of the Atari Buglist thread because it wasn't a bug.

    There is a -4 penalty for firing into melee if you do not have the Precise Shot feat. Perhaps that is where the confusion started.
