Ok, just installed ToEE and came here to get the updates. Well the link for the 5.9 updated is have server maint. issues so I went ahead and downloaded the 5.0.0 patch.

Well when I start the game using ToEEFE i get the following two errors:

0002: Error: One of the game folders can't be accessed! Make sure that no other application uses any of the game folders, then try again.

0003: Error: One of the game folders can't be accessed! Make sure that no other application uses any of the game folders, then try again.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Sorry, but we don't provide active support for the older versions - there's too many of them.

That being said, do a search - it was not an uncommon problem for memory.

    Howdy,
    I also had this problem.
If you're running Vista(as I am) this might fix it

    1. Right click the TOEEFE.exe in the game directory.
    2. Click on Properties
    3. Click on the Compatibility tab
    4. Check the box that says "Run as Administrator."

    Good Luck, if there's a will there's a way.

Holy crap! I didn't know Nelson Mandela played ToEE! Being so old I figured he wouldn't have anything to do with computers. Actually, I kind of thought he passed away.

Also, just to stay within boundries of the thread, I will vouch for Nelson Mandela. Running as administrator should clear everything right up.
