...Westward for a few days on business. I'll be totally off the boards until Monday next week. Look for me then, and don't Resort to violence in my absence. I'll be google-ing the earth from a great altitude as I travel, so look up, and you can shoot me the bird or the moon...whichever pleases you the most. Hope to be back soon... 32*20'12.88" N / 110*58'02.13" W Or, you can just type in the clues...
Cracked the case! See if you can find Spike in these photos. (Hint: He's cresting the mountains upon his arrival below.)
LOL! So he's hanging out at a resort while the rest of us slave away keeping this place together?
Don't worry, when Spike comes back . . . well, it's like the manager returning from vacation. Heads will roll!!
Ha-haaAAAhh! Gaear figured out my little puzzle. This was one of the over-flow hotels for attendees of the conference I was attending, so it wasn't really all-play. The work was very easy, though... Some things I saw while out west... 1. The courtyard at our bungalow... 2. The Sonoran National forest... 3. The Mexican side of the border in Nogales (NOT recommended for the faint of heart...!!!) 4. A remote view of Kitt Peak & the National Observatory... 5. And Cujo's Mexican cousin...Lobo. Saw some awesome sights, and had the best steak ever...but being home is best. It's nice to know *sniff* that you guys care...
Family resemblance, of course! Speaking of canis non-domesticus, there were a $#!+load of coyotes out there. We actually saw one during a shuttle ride back to the hotel, and heard many others cavorting and yipping in the moonlight...resort staff chased them off, but they returned an hour or two later. Quite a thrill to hear them so close. No way you could camp out there in anything less than some type of vehicle...at least not without enough friends or firepower to shoo them off. The fellow in this pic (taken in a zoo setting) was watching members of the tour that had passed by...he didn't pay heed to me, but I'm sure some of his buddies were guarding his back. For lack of a better description, they are indeed... ...wiley.
