I am posting my question on two TOEE forums, Atari’s and Circle of Eight’s. Though I’m a veteran of other D&D games (BG II, Icewind Dale I & II, Neverwinter Nights, and all add-ons for these except Throne of Bhaal), I have never played TOEE. I’ve read that the user-created patch (presumably Circle of Eight’s mod) makes TOEE a good, playable experience. Morpheus, the guy who instructs how to install the Circle of Eight mod/patch, says to install it after installing only Patch 1 and Patch 2, NOT after installing Patch 3. Therefore I have a question. Which solution offers the best gaming experience? Patch 1 + Patch 2 + Patch 3 or Patch 1 + Patch 2 + Circle of Eight’s mod/patch My definition of best gaming experience: the one that offers the most bug-free, interesting, and EASIEST experience. :wavey:
Patch 1 + Patch 2 + Circle of Eight’s mod/patch is a better combo. It covers what Patch 3 fixes AND adds more content.
Patch 1, Patch 2 and Co8. The Co8 patch fixes everything that Patch 3 fixes, and adds a lot to the game.
Good replies. Thank you both. No one has replied on my Atari-board post, but I believe the two replies here. I am going with Circle of Eight.
Ahem... http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=6861676#post6861676 Not that this is a bad decision, mind you...just don't want you to feel neglected.
Thank you for your reply, Lord Spike. You must have made it after I checked the Atari board. If I find the user-created mod/patch to be too buggy, I may try playing Patch 3. :scratchhe
And unlike Atari, we can usually resolve any bugs that do pop up in a realistic timeframe, day's or weeks rather than months!
