where is the easiest to find health potion in the temple?

well i kind of screwed myself after the temple broken tower brigand fight, i saved with 7 hp after victory on a solo game, and in 3.5 minutes my bears endurance wears off and i go unconscious. im a 1 monk / 8 druid with no healing spells prepared, so i NEEEEEEED to find potions.

can anyone think of any potions that can be found or, if NECESSARY looted from weak enemies in 3.5 minutes from the broken tower? or shall i reroll and not try the broken tower so early...

eh, you just need to hyphenate "easiest to find" (i.e., "easiest-to-find"), that's probably how you meant it, right?

I dunno though as to your other question. :scratchhe Forfend to say, you might want to just console in a potion and go donate 10x its value to Jaroo if you feel guilty about it. (Unless someone has a better answer, of course.)

Or just try sleeping until you either a-get an encounter with healing-potion-bearing, low-hp bugbears (edit: that won't work, duh, because when the combat starts you'll be already dead--go right to plan b), or b-don't get a random encounter at all, and thus heal up enough to not collapse on the way home (you might also want to choose to memorize a few healing spells before slumbering). It's kind of a conundrum, I suppose.

 

true @ hypenation, but i think sleeping causes me to die too, im having fun playing my rogue archer now so i'll give it a shot later. i've never console stuff in before but maybe i can get over it this time, what do i do to get one?

it might be exciting to just find a legit potion though, i just cant really think of any that wont force me to fight a gang of bugbears when im out of spells and hp...

 

To open the console press tilde (i.e., shift + that key in the upper-left of your keyboard). Search this forum for the list of what can be consoled in, to see what the #### for a potion is, then type "give ####".

Normally, I'd not suggest such a thing, but it sounds like you've put a lot of work into getting where you are, and it's a minor fudge, even a dm in such a situation would probably say "you suddenly find a potion of cmw in the chest." Good luck.

W_T_F is the difference between consoling in a potion & using knowledge your soon-to-be-dead character wouldn't have? Is one less of a cheat than the other?

Not much difference, one you just get a potion and the other you gain xp/loot. Seriously, if your going to screw morality, screw it to your benefit...'course, I always was more of a CN kinda guy.

That's true, but if he held that PC back and stomped/spelled the bugbears with the other #PCs...I suppose there is a lot of if coming off my plan. I just assumed he had other PCs to plug up that door while the battered PC stayed out of it.

 

If he had other PC's he wouldn't worry about the Bear's Endurance running out. Plus he did say he was soloing.
